Tuesday 4 Meme...

Thanks to Annie for this week's Tuesday 4!!  You can link-up and join in HERE!

Welcome to Tuesday 4 begun by Toni Taddeo and kept up in memory of her.

Here are the questions for this week:

1. Who inspires you and why?  Joe does, my family & friends do, and our new community small group at church has come to mean so much to me/us.  It hit home this past week when our meetings were canceled.  The 'umbrella' over all of these is, of course, Jesus!

2. Convince us to read one of your favorite books.  If you read just book #1 of the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, you will be hooked and will read #2-#8.  Book 9 is about to be published and she is working on book #10.  Great characters, well-researched history, and something for everyone...

3. What meal does your family just love and will you share the recipe?  It is just Joe and me.  Joe likes meat and potatoes and his favorite vegetable is corn.  I like anything I don't have to prepare!  LOL  I am not a picky eater.  Joe is a picky eater.  Sorry I don't have a recipe to share.

4.  In Brambly Hedge they make Rose Petal Jam.  What kind do you like and why?  I like both raspberry jam and blood orange marmalade.  Joe just likes Welch's Grape Jelly.

Happy Tuesday!  Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Peace & hugs!  Relax!  God is in control!!

  5. I'm not really an orange marmalade kind of girl, but I do love blood oranges. I'll have to look if it's available up here in the north. For Tim it's strawberry jelly and nothing else. Have a good day, Terri!

    1. I'm not crazy about regular orange marmalade but the blood orange marmalade is sweeter and delicious! I get it at Mazzarro's Italian Market.

  11. I'm a bit of a picky eater, too; but I'll never say 'no' to meat. I've heard you speak of Outlander, but know nothing about it. Your high praise has me curious. :)

  12. Hi Terri! I haven't read the books but I have heard of them. Isn't there a television series based on this on Starz (I think)? I've never had blood orange anything. Is it tarter than regular orange? ♥

    1. Yes, Patti. Each book is a season. They are doing a pretty good job following the books with only a few deviations. There are some tough subjects covered in the books and in the series. Books are always better, though!

  15. We like seedless Blackberry Jam mostly. I love a good homemade Strawberry preserves but haven't had any in years. I have never read the Outlander series. I was going to start before we moved and was trying reserve them at that library, but then things got busy and I gave up. Maybe I will add that to my list here if they have them at this library. Maybe when I get through with the 27 books my friend just gave me! Which are simple and easy to read and very enjoyable "Amish Mysteries". Nothing too deep for my pea brain right now. LOL. Take care and stay well my friend!!

  16. Just a disclaimer... the books are quite graphic. There is rape and murder and racism... Scotland in turmoil in the 1700s.
