Tuesday 4 Meme...

Thanks to Annie for this week's Tuesday 4 Meme questions!  You can join in HERE!

1.   Ever been to a Drive-In Theater?  Yes. Would you like to see Drive-In Theaters make a comeback?  Lakeland has a Drive-In Theater that runs 1st-run movies!!

2.  Should towns provide community entertainment like
bands in the park, fireworks on the 4rth, community picnics or is the cost just too much?  If this is your thing, you need to move to Lakeland!  We have all of the above!

3.  What would you change about your town if you had the power?  I sing the praises of our beautiful Lakeland all the time.  I wouldn't change a thing!

4. My  little high school offered 3 courses of education:  Business, University track and General education where you could also major in shop, carpentry, home economics, and metalworking, etc.

Would you like to see schools bring back business courses, shop classes, and home
economics?  They certainly should!  Things everyone needs to learn.  Get rid of those common core tests and grading of schools and start REALLY teaching our kids again!  My sisters are teachers, so I am on their side always!!

Thanks for your visit today!  Happy St. Paddy's Day!

Peace, hugs, & blessings!

Remember that God is in control!

  1. You certainly are one of Lakeland's biggest cheerleaders. You make me want to move there...if only you could do something about that summer heat and humidity! Have a great St. Patty's Day, Terri.

  3. I know Lakeland all to well, well, 30 years ago, LOL. We were just talking about this or that...I just personally have no desire to move back...this old body just can't handle sweating --LOLOL. (Bet that made you smile, lolol)--in all seriousness, I have no desire to move back to the land of hurricanes or tornados (Alabama).

    Happy St. Patrick's Day, friend.

  5. Again we are on the same wavelength Terri. Schools are test crazy. Just let the teachers teach and see how much better off all students would be!!

  12. It's been awhile since I've been by. My computer was acting up, and I wasn't able to see pictures on any blogs. Thankfully, things seem to be working now.

You are one very content gal. What a blessing to be so happy with where you live! I love where I live too, but it hasn't always been that way.

I think drive-ins are fun. I have fond memories of going to them when growing up. We went nearly every weekend during the summer.

    Blessings,
    Patti

I agree that high schools should offer those classes.

  15. Drive-in movies were fun back in the day but at my age, I often fall asleep during movies. I don't like the idea of paying to take a nap, so no, I don't miss drive-in movies. At least at home I can usually watch the movie again if I fall asleep!

    1. We don't take advantage of our drive-in either, but some of my friends with kids really enjoy it like my family did when we were all little.
