1. How often do you find yourself shopping for groceries? I am in the grocery store for something at least once a week. We "do" Sam's Club once a month.
2. Do you have a favorite nighttime snack? I have been trying to not snack at night but do succumb to ice cream now and then.
3. Do you buy in bulk and what kinds of tips do you have to save money on grocery shopping? I buy paper products in bulk and sometimes meat because it freezes well. We shop the BOGO items always but only buy what we need and will use.
4. Let's have a picnic in the park. What foods are we packing, and will we cook anything there or is it all prepared ahead of time? Forgive me for not liking to picnic. If I had to, I would pack it ahead of time and not cook on a public grill.

Terri, When I was young I would dress nicely to go to the grocery. As fixing my hair and make up. Now I just get ready everyday, like that, and if I go anywhere , fine and it I don't, that's ok too. I go to the grocery way more than I want. Now a days I hate going. LOL Oh yes, that darn ice cream is almost addicting. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

ReplyDeleteOur local grocery store has "Peapod" delivery.... long past when I can lug three cases of water.... I use it about once every month or so and stock in. Depending on delivery time it costs about $7.50 or less plus tip. So one of my "gifts" for myself that I love.

I like picnicking in the spring and fall only and no to the public grill. Although I can just hear my hubby saying the fire will kill all the germs:)
ReplyDeleteI so wish I could stay out of the grocery store more than once a week. It is way too close to my house so it is easy to run and get something every day or so. I don't plan very well. Now, that is just the two of us I rarely buy much in bulk other than paper goods too.
I don't plan well either and Publix is 5 minutes away. So easy to get to.
DeleteWe buy our paper products in bulk, too, especially paper towels at Costco. If we're going to picnic somewhere, we always pack sandwiches, chips, etc. ahead of time. I wouldn't use a public grill either!

I see most people using aluminum foil on public grills. I sometimes don't plan ahead very well and end up running to the store too often. Thanks for joining in.

ReplyDeleteI would not cook anything on a public grill either. yukky We grill at home, in the backyard! Mr D and I have a hard time staying away from ice cream, we love it!! Hope all is well with you and Joe, is your cold better? Hope so.
ReplyDeleteHow nice to hear, I'm not the only non-picnic person in the bunch! We normally do the majority of our shopping at Wal-Mart once/week -- but Tom enjoys having an opportunity to 'run out' to Winn Dixie for this or that. I suspect he enjoys socializing! LOL.

ReplyDeleteWe grocery shop about every week or two. I try to stretch it out closer to the two week mark if I can. I hate shopping! Ice cream is my favorite anytime snack but generally at night I sorta leave it to DH. Whatever he's in the moo then that's what I have if anything. Bulk shopping, nope I do a lot of that, except when I buy ground beef or chicken or other meats that can be easily split into smaller packages to freeze or to make a large entree for left-overs such as chili. Public picnic areas...forget it. When we have a picnic, we keep it simple. We'll eat in our car with a great view. It's so nasty to think about public outdoor tables, grills, ... Fun set of questions for Tuesday. :)
I seem to go to the grocery at least 4 times a week. Insane! I'm not into picnics either, just a lot of trouble but our family did picnic a lot when I was growing up. Happy new week!
ReplyDeleteI try to but extra to stock up when there is a good sale, and usually shop weekly. Our store is 6-7 minutes from us, but if we want to get things cheaper, I need to drive about 25 minutes.
