I should just leave the page blank.
Friday morning I had blood work at the lab. My doctor didn't clear me a week ago for my coming knee surgery because my potassium was low and I have this awful sinus infection. She put me on an antibiotic and some potassium pills, hoping the bloodwork has improved enough for her to send the orthopedic surgeon her okay to operate. Fingers crossed that a week was long enough to bring the numbers up and down (whichever way they needed to go).
After the blood draw, Joe and I went to Publix for a few things and then popped into Bealls Outlet to check out some clearance items. It was a bust, though I did find a nice pair of slacks for $11.00. When we got home we both crashed.
Saturday, we both crashed all day.
Sunday, we intended to go to church but Joe felt awful and I only slept a couple of hours (Barb, the socks didn't help). So... crashed again. Went out for the newspaper, in the driveway, and that was it.
Football has been on most of the day. When the Eagles game isn't on TV, we watch Red Zone to catch the best plays. Hotdogs for dinner. That was it.
We have nothing on the calendar today and tomorrow so hoping laying low for a couple more days will make us feel much better by the new year!!
Thanks for checking in!! Peace & hugs!! God bless!!

You will have a much easier time during and after the surgery if you are in the best health and as well rested as you can be when you have it done.
ReplyDeleteYou'll thank them later.
I hope you and your husband will feel better soon.
May everything go smoothly with your upcoming surgery.
Happy New Year,as soon as it gets here!
Susie D.
Sure hope you both are better this morning and I think you are wise to 'lay low' and let it pass. Hoping the antibiotics will enable you to have your knee surgery. Hugs
ReplyDeleteHope you both feel better
ReplyDeleteWell get completely well before you surgery is my nurse suggestion. Kneed surgeyr requires you to feel your best for rehab. I know you are anxious to get it over with so rest up all you can.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear you're not feeling much better! I'd love to send you some chicken matzo ball soup, but figure Lucky Dill doesn't deliver that far. My second go-to when I was feeling 'yuk' was Boston Market … their squash casserole felt heavenly on my sore throat.
ReplyDeleteI loved Boston Market. Ours closed. I think there might be one in Winter Haven (20 miles east). Thanks for the good thoughts!
DeleteUgh, so sorry you both are not feeling well. I was just telling my husband that hot dogs sound good for dinner, we haven't had them in a long time, smiles.
ReplyDeleteHope you are both feeling better and have a
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year.
Oh boo.. but you know its for the best, right? God's timing - not our own.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better!!
Praying the both of you feel better soon, Terri, and that your blood work will show that you're good to go on the surgery!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Hope you feel better.
ReplyDeleteBe back soon!
Happy 2020 to you!
sandie
Oh, that stinks, but better to wait and get everything up where it should be than to have problems later. I hope you and Joe feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI always think when you feel a need for rest like that - that it is wise to just do that...rest.
ReplyDeleteHope all goes well with the blood work. I know you are ready.
Bob has that same cold. He also crashed this weekend, went to work today and was back home by noon. He went to bed about 8:30 tonight, so I hope he feels better tomorrow. Hope you and Joe do too!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry you are still feeling so under the weather, and so is Joe. Praying you will get well very soon. We are praying. God is able. I know you want to get this surgery over with, and we are praying it will happen, but if it is delayed because of health issues, it is best to wait. One day at a time...it will all work out in God's perfect timing. Wish I could bring you some chicken soup!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry that you are still feeling unwell. It's frustrating when these things linger so long. Back in the winter of 2017/2018, I was sick with pneumonia for 2 solid months. Twice I thought I was better and got back to being busy, and then I relapsed. So, probably these days of just crashing are exactly what you and Joe need to keep you from relapsing.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Patti
