Thankful Thursday with Rebecca Jo...

Rebecca Jo is our hostess for her Thankful Thursday meme.  You can join in as we count our blessings by clicking HERE!  Thank you, Rebecca Jo!

We had our church small group get-together last night and I am so thankful for new friends from our new church.  It's not so new anymore, I guess, but it hasn't been a year yet.  We feel so blessed and it feels like we have known these people for years.

We were going up to our son & DIL's this weekend but they are both sick. We texted back and forth last night and finally decided we don't need their colds and they sure don't need us there when they don't feel good.  We are sad about it because Joey leaves for the Middle East again in another week and we won't see him for nearly a year. Happy and thankful that we were up there in October.

The whole weekend is ahead now, with nothing planned so I need to be thankful for that.  I can get a couple of gifts mailed off and get our Christmas cards done.  We are having company over the next two weeks, so I can get some much-needed cleaning started too.  We still hate missing a chance to see Joey and Darlene.

I am thankful for each of you!!  Thanks for your visits and comments!!

Peace & hugs!!  God bless!!

  2. I know you are sad about not being able to see Joey and Darlene, Terri. Will pray for them to get well, and for Joey's deployment to be a safe one. Hope you can enjoy the weekend anyway.
    Blessings, my friend!

  4. Hi, I like your 2019 word of gratitude, I see we have things in common including starting our blogs in 2007, and being conservative. I tried to follow your blog but it says I am not allowed to; first time I've seen that message.

  6. I'm so glad that you and Joe have been embraced and welcomed into a new church. I have a friend who moved to eastern PA almost 6 years ago, and they have yet to find a welcoming church. The Body of Christ, should always welcome and embrace others!!

Oh, bummer that you can't see your son before he heads out. Praying he will be safe on this deployment.

    Enjoy your unplanned weekend!!

  8. How wonderful you and Joe have been enveloped in the (new) church's love! I think you made the right decision to stay home. Who knows? Perhaps Joey will surprise y'all with a 'quick-like' visit.

  9. I'm sorry you can't make it to Joey and Darlene, but I think you are wise with Joe recuperating and your surgery coming up in the new year. So glad you were there earlier this year.
