Friday Photos/Fotos...

Before I post my Friday photos, I just want to express my deep sympathy for our dear blogging friend, Connie, who lost her husband, Jay, on Tuesday of this week.  If you aren't connected to "Nonnie" you can read about her dear hubby HERE.  My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with her and their family, especially through the next days and weeks.  Love & hugs, Connie.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

I do have some new photos to share today.  We went to the farm (Joe's client) on Wednesday and I also took some photos of our Christmas decorations which are much reduced from what we usually do. No lights outside this year and I didn't unpack our extensive porcelain Nativity scene.

We didn't put up the collectible Nativity but do have this one that
spells CHRIST.  I put a crocheted tree behind it, made by my mom.

My dear friend, Melody, who died this year, made this wreath for me years ago.
I used to have it on my office door when I was working.

I didn't put my blue soup taurine and candles away but rather included
them with the hat and greenery.

Our tree is the smallest one we have ever had but we are happy with the way it looks.
It is not quite six feet tall.

I arranged some of our Santas on the table.

And on the shelves by the front door, another Nativity
and a few more Santas.

Can't forget Pink Floyd Flamingo... all decked out!

Our front door... Joy to the World.
I forgot to get a photo of our sign in front that says
Jesus is the reason for the season!

Cattle greeted us on our way into the ranch on Wednesday.

When I walked down to give the horses their carrots, I saw what looked like
an Eagle on the fence post.  I took a picture from very far away, hoping
I could crop it in and actually see the bird.  There he is!!

And here is the beautiful Doc!!  Pistol is behind him.

I was out of carrots but Prince and his entourage were still hopeful.

I did a selfie from my seat on the patio but went into the office soon
after to get warm.  It was cold out there!!  I was proud of myself
that I walked all the way down to the pond!!

I put a box on my printer by the back door so I could take it out to the
recycle bin.  Vinny found it and decided it made a good place to sleep.

We called the Vet to let them know Lucy got the collar off.  They told me to go to
Walmart and get some premie-size onesies, cut off the snaps and put the remaining t-shirt
on Lucy.  It would be harder for her to get it off with her front legs through the arms.
This is what happened when I tried that.  We will let the Vet do it on Tuesday when she
goes back for her check-up. I'm not trying it again.
Lucy does not like to be held or restrained, even by her "mom" who loves her.

Thank you if you got this far!!  I appreciate your visit and comments!

Peace & hugs!  God bless!!

  5. I didn't know about Connie's husband, either. Thank you for letting us know.

Pink Floyd Flamingo...I so neeeeeed one of those!

Ouch. I have scars on my arms from a long ago kitty that didn't want to get in his carrier to visit the vet...ironically to have his claws removed.

  6. Love all your Christmas decorations Terri. I am thinking of going a little more natural next year and not so much to put away in January. Of course I say that every year. Take care of that scratch. I would have never thought of using a baby onesie ....interesting.

  8. Poor Vinnie and poor you.
I love the eagle picture. He certainly has something in his sites.
There has never been a Christmas tree I didn't like. I think any size, any color lights, whatever. It just brings back such warm memories. All of your decorations are just perfect.

  12. Oh, that scratch is very bad! Naughty kitty! I do hope your arm heals well, and praying the cat heals too! Yes, I was very saddened to read about Connie's husband's passing so suddenly. My heart is breaking for her, especially difficult right before Christmas. Been praying for her. Love your decorations, and your tree is beautiful! Looks perfect in that space. We are putting ours up tomorrow. I almost dread it as it will take almost all day. I think I want to get a simpler one that is pre-lit and easier to put together. Maybe next year. This one is about 20 years old...amazing it has lasted this long! Oh, I love the eagle pic! That was wonderful!! And the cows and horses, goats...and your selfie!! You are doing great! So proud of you and Joe! Take care and God bless you both.

  13. Your place is looking very nice!
    The eagle pic is amazing!
Oh Lucy! Our Oliver has done the same. It's just their instinct when they are frightened, no matter who is holding them. Hope your arm and Lucy heals quick.

  14. Oh Terri!! That is some serious scratching!!! Ouch!! I know for sure our grand cats would have done that if I had ever tried to put clothes on them.

I LOVE your front door and railing. And your tree.

And yea for you, walking down to that pond!!

  15. Your decorations are beautiful. I like everything you've done.

Lucy -- she's one independent gal! I hope she can recover from that irritated spot. She's sure making it hard on herself (and others).
