Happy Holidays!
Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants' posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!
Saturday 9: Happy Holidays! (from the archives)
1. As you can see, Sam loved giving her annual wish list to Santa. Yet some children are reluctant to climb into Jolly Old St. Nick's lap. Did you enjoy the tradition or were you shy? Or did you bypass it all together -- either because you wrote him a letter or because your family didn't celebrate Christmas? When I was little, they didn't really have Santas in all the stores for pictures. My grandpa dressed as Santa for my earlier birthday parties (2 weeks before Christmas) and there are photos somewhere of him at my birthday parties.
2. Are you currently on the Naughty or Nice list? I am always on the nice list! Aren't you? How did you get there? By being nice, of course!!
3. Did you ship any gifts to friends and family this year? Yes. If so, which one traveled the farthest? I sent my sister and BIL gifts in GA.
4. Did you buy yourself a gift this year? No.
5. What's your favorite holiday-themed movie? A Christmas Story is a must-watch. Have you seen it yet this year? Yes.
6. Thinking of movies, Christmas is lucrative for Hollywood. Have you ever gone to a movie theater on Christmas Day? Yes, we have.
7. Have you ever suffered an embarrassing moment at the company Christmas party? No.
8. What's your favorite beverage in cold weather? Springwater.
9. Share a memory from last Christmas. Last Christmas we had friends around the table for Christmas dinner and Joe and I got caught under the mistletoe at our neighbor's house.
Thanks to Crazy Sam for this week's Saturday 9! You can join in HERE!
Thanks for stopping in! Peace & hugs! God Bless!!

Aw...what a cute picture of you and Joe! Merry Christmas, Terri!
ReplyDeleteThat's so sweet...love to see people kissing under the mistletoe! I haven't seen any mistletoe in a long time! I don't recall ever sitting on Santa's lap either. When I was that little we lived on a farm in PA., and I don't think we went shopping much! At least not that I can remember. But we faithfully wrote our letters to Santa, and always left him cookies and milk on Christmas Eve, along with a carrot for Rudolph. And Santa always wrote us a note back thanking us, and leaving us a few crumbs on the plate and an empty glass, and no carrot...so we know he came! I did not send any packages, but did send gift cards to Maine...oh wait! I did send them a box of fruit too, which is an annual tradition. (I order it and it gets sent...I don't pick the fruit and send it!) I wish someone would send me a box of fruit! LOL. It is too expensive to send to myself! And where we live there aren't any fruit stands. (we are too far north). Oh well. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas!!!
ReplyDeleteHow cute you two are under the mistletoe. I did visit Santa when I was little.I didnt mail any packages as all my family lives right here in the same town. Hope your Sat. is a good one.
ReplyDeleteNothing like wonderful memories. Have a wonderful day... :)
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, smiles...and I am just gonna say it, "Get a room you two." (smiles and giggles)--wishing you both a very Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteYou 2 look so cute. Have a great day!

ReplyDeleteLOVE this pic of you and Joe under the mistletoe!
ReplyDeleteEven as a little child, I was never a fan (or believer) in Santa Claus.
Good for you for drinking water all of the time! I need to do that. Love the picture of you and Joe under the mistletoe! Loved your answers! Have a nice weekend.

I remember that photo of Joe and you, Terri. How endearing! You know, I took my own children to see Santa on multiple occasions, but I have no memories of me visiting him. Oh, well, I turned out okay - lol!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
