Joe and I enjoyed our first Small Group get-together last night. Our new church has six small groups and we are in one that is more 'senior' which suits us just fine. It is a great way to get to know more people in an intimate setting. Our group's leaders (two couples) actually cooked dinner for us!! It was delicious and they wouldn't let us help clean up. We just talked the evening away. It was very nice and I am SO thankful for our new church and church family!! The group alternates between the homes of the two couples who lead and we meet twice a month.
Today we are off to the hospital for Joe's pre-op appointments. We are thankful for our doctors and for our great hospital. We will be even more thankful if his hemoglobin level is in the normal range so we can continue on to Tuesday and FINALLY get his valve replaced!
I am thankful for the rain we have been getting because it is much needed!
I am thankful for a sound roof over our heads that doesn't let any of that rain in.
I am thankful for each of you!! Thanks for your visit!
Peace & hugs!! God bless!!

I am so happy you found a good church with good people you are gettig to know and enjoy being with them. Praying for Joe today and that the hemoglobin level is right where it needs to be.
ReplyDeleteHello Terri, nice to "meet" you! I have been to Florida a few times, my mother in law winters in Zephyr Hills. It's getting that time of year when it starts sounding smart to go south! Hoping all goes well for your husband today, God is good.

ReplyDeleteHave a nice day!
You know I feel that hemoglobin issue so hopefully he's still up!!!
ReplyDeleteSmall group is cool place to connect, isn't it?
I hope all goes well with Joe's appointment and that he'll be able to get the valve replaced next week. I'll be praying.
ReplyDeleteSending prayers that Joe's pre-op goes well today!!! Happy your recovery is going awesome too! HUGS! Annster's Domain
ReplyDeleteOur church has groups too. A good church family is a wonderful thing to have. Prayers for Joe.
ReplyDeleteI love that you have gotten involved in a small group at your church. Obviously, that means you are in a church you want to connect in. I remember a few years ago, you were looking for a new church. We left our long-time church in August to be part of the new church they were establishing. I wrote about how hard it was to leave, but also how exciting it is to be part of this new venture.
ReplyDeleteStacy does this link-up too. It looks like a good one. I think I will jump in one of these days soon.
Blessings on your day. Hope all goes well with Joe's appointment. Yes, praise God for doctors we love and trust.
Love,
Patti
Sending prayers to Joe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteI'm praying "all systems are go" for Joe's TAVR next week. So glad you've got a good Small Group at church to be friends and support. They will bless you and I know you are a blessing to them, too!
ReplyDeleteThat small group sounds wonderful! I’m in a small group of women at the Thursday morning women’s Bible study at Calvary and loving it.
ReplyDeleteI pray that everything is a go for Joe’s surgery.
