Saturday 9.... with Tim McGraw

Live Like You Were Dying

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants' posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

Live Like You Were Dying (2003)

Unfamiliar with this week's song. Hear it here.

1) This song is about a man whose father advises him to live life to the fullest, to become "the friend you'd like to have." How about you? Are you the friend you'd like to have?  I sure hope so!!

2) The song lists several "bucket list" items: skydiving, mountain climbing, riding a bull. Have you done any of those things?  Nope.  Would you like to?  Not even close! LOL

3) In the music video, Tim McGraw is wearing a white button-down shirt, blue jeans, and a cowboy hat. Which of those items is in your wardrobe? I have several pairs of blue jeans and a couple of white button-down blouses.

4) He wears a cowboy hat because he is embarrassed by the size of his forehead. When you wear a hat, are you more likely doing it for style, like Tim, or for protection from the elements?  I look absolutely horrible in hats. I have a visor or two that I wear to protect my eyes from the sun at the beach, but I do not have a hat-friendly head.

5) McGraw's biological father was Tug McGraw, pitcher for the Mets and Phillies. How did your baseball team do this season?  Our team is the Phillies and they did not make it to the playoffs this year.

6) Tim McGraw and wife Faith Hill live just outside of Nashville. They enjoy inviting friends over to sit around a bonfire, drinking beer and playing guitars. Tell us about the most recent gettogether you had with friends.  We went out to dinner with our neighbors across-the-street on Tuesday night. We were together with eight other folks for Nickels last Friday.

7) Tim likes his tattoos. He admits his silliest one -- a leprechaun wearing a cowboy hat -- was acquired during a night of drinking. Do you have a tattoo? Nope.  If so, are you glad you have it and would you get it again?  If I had one, I suppose I would be glad I had it, but since I don't....

8) In 2003, when this song was popular, the supersonic Concord took its last flight. When did you most recently board a plane?  It was for our nephew's wedding and they have two kids now.  It was 2013... six years ago. What was your destination?  We flew into Philadelphia.

9) Random question: When did you last walk around the house naked?  So long ago that I can't remember! LOL

Thanks to Crazy Sam for today's questions!  You can join in HERE.

Thanks for your visit!
Peace & hugs! God bless!!

  1. "...do not have a hat-friendly head." That's me! My head is unfriendly to hats. lol I am envious of the built-in social scene in your community. I would like that...knowing activities are there if I want to join in, but also knowing it's not on me. I think that's what I liked best about going on a cruise.

  5. No tattoos for me, and the Braves tanked! I do have to wear hats, though, if I'm going to be out in the sun.
    Enjoy your weekend, Terri!

  6. A "hat-friendly head" -- what a cute term! Choosing the right hat is tricky business. I have a big head, so many hats are too tight for me.

  7. Fun questions! Yes, you ARE a good friend, even to blog friends. You sent a sympathy card and prayed for us when my mother-in-law passed away last year. I was a Phillies fan way back in the 1980's...back when Tug McGraw played for them. My team now is the Red Sox, and they had a horrible year, no back to back World Series win for them.

No tattoo for me either. With as often as I change my mind about my hairstyle, a tattoo would be something I would probably want to change a week after getting one.

    Happy weekend to you,
    Patti

  9. I totally 'get' you about hats, Terri. I adore them, but it has to be just the right style, tilt, whatever … else I look like a giant strolling NOSE. Good thing I'm not invited to any of the Royal weddings!

  10. LOLOL on walking around the house naked...you will never catch me doing that, LOLOL. I love hats and wear them because of my thin hair--especially when it is raining or snowing, smiles.

  11. None of those daredevil things for me, or hats either! And actually walking around the house naked could fit into a daredevil thing too! You won't find that happening here. :) :) :)
