Weekend Recap on Monday...

I don't have much to report. It has been a pretty uneventful weekend.

On Friday I did a little cleaning. Cat hair. Enough said.

Saturday was laundry day.  Helen and Cheryl stopped by with some papers for Joe. I asked them to come to lunch after church on Sunday.  We all went to Crispers for a light supper and they went home from there (we took both cars).

Sunday was Sunday school and church.  I put chicken breasts in the crock-pot before we left so the house smelled great when we got home.  I made a broccoli and rice casserole to go with the chicken, plus a tossed salad and Pillsbury biscuits. It was all good.  They brought a (store-bought) peanut butter pie for dessert.  We were well-fed. I sent leftovers home with them. Helen loved the casserole. Joe and I had a chicken sandwich for our supper.

That's it. No photos. No excitement. We are off to the farm (Joe's client) this morning since we missed last week while they were on vacation.

Thanks for your visit!!

Peace & hugs!  God bless!

    1. Chicken breasts in the crock-pot. I put some Italian dressing seasoning mix in and some butter on top. A little water. That's it. On high for four hours. Easy.

  5. We are on the last leg of our trip home from Louisiana where we stayed at the house where the movie, Steel Magnolias was filmed. We had a good time but east or west, home is best.

  6. Mmmm...two of my favorites...chicken and broccoli casserole. Nothing like coming home to a house filled with that aroma!

  9. Regarding the cat hair, I remember well the days when we had dogs, hound dogs in particular (a Beagle and a Basset at the same time!). Lots of shedding. It's the price we pay for the animals we love!

  10. The old crock pot routine... I did get one of those new fangled pressure cookers I heard everyone talking about... but the thing scares me to death... still looking at it.. very intimidating .. :(
