Swap-Bot
Hi! I'm your host Bev Sykes of the blog "Funny the World". . Welcome to Sunday Stealing. This feature originated and published on WTIT: The Blog. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. (Past hosts include: Our first - Judd Corizan, Mr. L, Kwizgiver and Bud) Cheers to all of us thieves!
Swap-Bot asked
people to post questions they would like to answer. I copied them all and
put together this brief selection.
1) What do you enjoy about summer? I am retired so summer doesn't mean what it used to mean. I enjoy not fighting school traffic in the mornings and afternoons and (here in Florida) there is less snowbird traffic and crowds in the restaurants, etc.
2) Do you like snow? NO. Why? I had enough of the snow and will never go north again, in the winter, unless I just have to. We have been in Florida for 30 years now and I love it.
3) What do you think about dogs? I love dogs. We don't have one because it would not have been fair to the pup with us gone all day while we were working. We did not have a fenced yard conducive to having a pet door so they could come and go and be safe. We DO think about getting one, now and then, but we have three cats now.
4) Have you ever gotten lost? I've been turned around a few times but never so bad that I couldn't figure out where to go to get back home.
5) What is your favorite type of socks? I rarely wear socks now. If I have to, I want some that don't scootch down into my shoes so I am constantly pulling them up.
6) What is your favorite style of shoes? Canvas. Comfortable, Sandals.
7) What would you name your boat if you had one? Silly Me.
8) What common misconception do you hate to hear repeated as fact? That George Washington chopped down the cherry tree.
9) What was the last shop you went into and what did you buy? I rarely go shopping, except to the grocery. Joe and I went into the Gospel Inn Christian book store earlier this week, looking for the study book we need for Sunday school. They didn't have it. Ordered them from Amazon.
10) What's your favorite thing to do to pass the time? Social media, watch TV, read...
11) What is a way to die that scares you the most? A car accident.
12) Travel or homebody? Homebody.
13) Have you ever gone to a Bingo hall? Yes, but not to play bingo. Not my game.
14) What is the longest plane trip you have taken? Atlanta to Venice, Italy.
15) Do you text more or call more? Text. Why? I am not a phone talker. When someone calls I am happy to hear from them but I am more likely to send a text than pick up the phone.

"What would you name your boat if you had one? Silly Me"
ReplyDeleteThat is a GREAT boat name!
I don't like to talk on the phone either, Terri, though I talk to my mom once a day. Poor thing wouldn't know how to text if we showed her a zillion times! And I'd name my boat "Racer" after the star character in my novels.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Sunday!
A lot of us love to live where they don't have to worry about snow or ICE any more! Love your answers today! Enjoy your Sunday!
ReplyDeleteI am not a phone talker either and I prefer email, lol. Have a great Sunday friend. smiles
ReplyDeleteP.S. I live in the land of snow and ice and I prefer it to the heat and humidity, lolol.
I could do without snow. I'm not a phone talker either.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
#15 I agree with you. I much prefer texting, email, or private Face Book messaging over phone calls. Can't hear as well as I used to, some connections have an annoying time delay, and phone calls rarely come at a time when I am in a place or frame of mind to want to talk.
ReplyDeleteLove Amazon and shopping for groceries online for pick-up. I hate talking on the phone and think texting is great,do it all the time.
ReplyDeleteOccasionally I"ll go browse through Walmart or Target just to have something to do but not very often.
Have a good day

I am not a snow person and have never even lived where it snows. It seems awfully cold and messy to me. Then of course, a few cool flakes might feel really good about now. Shoes...I at one time thought my grandmother wore such old lady shoes, now I understand completely that she was looking for comfort. I am all about comfortable shoes. I prefer texting as well. Doesn't pin me down quite so much.
ReplyDelete"Silly Me" … I love that! I recall a long-ago client who named is yacht TICA. Years later he confided it was an acronym for "This I Can't Afford."
ReplyDeleteIt's been years and years, but I miss snow terribly. I'd love to experience it again … were someone else doing the driving.
I always enjoy these question and answer posts. It is always fun to read them and know more about you. No more dogs for us either at this stage of the game. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI love summer! Fresh fruits and veggies, warm temps, no snow! But I like the beauty of snow - just not being cold and driving in it.
ReplyDeleteI'm a homebody too.
