Gosh, Friday got here fast and I have no new photos to share this week. The farm (Joe's client) folks are away with family at the beach so we won't go there until Monday, not that my farm pictures are anything new. It's always the same subjects.
I am happy to report that I got my closet project finished. I have a couple of bags of stuff to donate and it sure feels good to get that sorted and done!
There is nothing on the agenda for today. We are done with appointments until next Wednesday when we see the heart surgeon about Joe's echo results. Hoping the results are good. He is feeling better and thinks the CBD is really helping his back pain which is a big help.
Our neighbors, Sharon and Bob, popped over yesterday late afternoon for a visit. Sharon's Achilles tendon surgery was a success and she is in regular shoes now and can drive again. Her hubby has to have hernia surgery the day before my knee surgery. They have their timing down!! Sharon has a big birthday on Sunday (70!). Their son is flying in from Chicago to join the celebration. Sharon is excited about that!
I have to mention something I tried for a snack last night. I had four flour tortillas leftover and decided to make some pizzas with them. I covered them in pizza sauce, added mozzarella cheese, some pepperoni, sprinkled on some parmesan cheese, some garlic powder, and a few red pepper flakes, then baked them at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes. They were really good! Joe said the recipe is a keeper. Have you ever tried that? Sorry I didn't think to take a picture.
That's all my news for now. I'm going to enjoy a couple of days with not much to do other than get the laundry done.
Wonderful post, Terri. Wishing you and your husband all the best, and a splendid weekend. Don't put anything red in the laundry. I did and was not popular!!!
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I make those "pizzas" all the time. We prefer them to any of the pizza places these days. They are good on the different kinds of tortillas, too...wheat, sun-dried tomato and basil, garlic and herb, spinach and herb, etc. Great news about the CBD helping Joe! Adding my prayers that the news is good next week.

ReplyDeleteThat sounds like Heaven! ☺️
I'm glad the CBD is helping. I looked into it and found out it conflicted with one of my meds (grapefuit warning) so I never tried it but one of my friends uses it for her back and says it helps a lot.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
I think we are taking a couple of days to just relax...been on the go all week, sigh. Have a lovely weekend, my friend. smiles
ReplyDeleteI'm totally going to try that pizza idea... I love a thin crust pizza anyways. Make mine a veggie ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend friend!
Interesting about the CBD oil...you know Marvin suffers from bouts of Sciatica. This might help.
ReplyDeleteWe had a great consultation with the man in the store. It costs nothing to go in and see what they say. Joe is happy so far. It doesn't help with bone-on-bone (like my knees) but is good for muscle pain and inflammation.
DeleteHope all goes well for Joe and good to hear the CBD oil is helping. I would love your pizza because I like thin crust, I might try it and see what Mr D thinks. Hope you and Joe have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteYour pizza sounds like a winner, Terri! Yes, we've tried doing something similar in the past. Praying for great results from Joe's tests, and as always, praying for your upcoming surgery.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
So glad Joe's feeling some relief! That's a grand idea about the mini pizzas. Because I don't care for pepperoni - and Tom poo-poo's my aioli - I like how you can individualize them to suit.
ReplyDeleteNever tried that for pizza but it sounds good! Hubby used to just spread sauce on a plate and add cheese and pepperoni on it and then heated it all in the microwave. He loved it and so did our girls. They still talk about them!
ReplyDeleteGreat plans.... I'm in.... :) Have a great weekend,
ReplyDeleteI find it feels so good to fill a bag and donate. You will be all organized before your surgery.
ReplyDeleteI will try your recipe soon. I take the same photos every week as well. I can't get around too often as I am disabled and sometimes don't feel like doing much, but I take photos here by the bay as often as I can. I like your farm photos very much.
ReplyDeleteThanks!! I appreciate you!!
DeleteSounds like you are about to have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteYour pizza recipe sounds so good. I'm going to try it!
Yes! We have had flour tortilla pizzas a lot around here. They are quick, versatile, and lower in calories (due to so much less crust).
