* I am thankful that Joe is doing our new Bible Study Readings with me. It isn't a formal study but is rather a list of Old and New Testament readings to do each day. The book was for sale at our new church Redeemer Presbyterian (PCA). He is keeping up and I am so happy!
* We are thankful that the ball is finally rolling to get Joe's aortic heart valve repaired!! Praise God!
* It was fun at the farm today. I'll post some photos on Friday. We won't be linking up with Deb, but I am going to continue posting photos on Fridays.
* I am thankful that the coughing is less and less. I'm doing better than Joe, but he is a few days behind me with this thing... yes, he got it from me. :(
* I am thankful that the house is clean and that Francheska will be coming once a month.
* I am thankful that the closet shelf fell in the 2nd guest room, where my over-flow clothing was hanging, as were my tablecloths and quite a few boxes were stacked on the shelves. I got rid of FIVE bags of clothing and a whole bunch of hangers. Francheska took them to donate at her church! Now we need to get our handyman in to give us a bid on making the closet sturdy again.
* I am thankful for each of you and for your prayers and good thoughts as Joe and I get through these next few weeks!
Thanks for your visit!! Peace & hugs! God bless!!
God bless you both. I know you are ready to have this coughing done and over with. So thankful that Joe will soon have some help with his issues. God is going before you both and will keep you in His care. Speaking of closets, etc. John and I both got busy this week and cleaned our closet and donated clothes to our thrift store at our church, as well as I donated my wonderful stained, spotted, old t-shirts that I wear at home because I am so messy...to our son who uses them for rags in his woodworking business. They always need more rags for painting/staining, etc. So our closet is looking a lot better, and now to move on to other closets and places ...one room at a time... Have a blessed day today.
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting to see the forms in which our blessings come to us, your closet mishap being one of them. (You are in good company on that one!)
ReplyDeleteKeeping Joe in my prayers and I'm glad you're seeing improvement in the amount of coughing.
The shared Bible reading is such a blessing. Any time we give the Lord more of ourselves, He blesses us in so many ways.
I am in the process of getting rid of a ton of things. My big plan is to invade Jack's closet and get him to commit to giving much of it away!
ReplyDeleteSomething to be said for Spring cleaning! I must get started as well.... :)
ReplyDeleteI tend to put off things until something happens, such as the shelf falling. Good to get it cleaned out tho and now to get a new shelf. So many things to be thankful for and feeling better, getting over that old cough is definitely a biggie. Will be praying for Joe's upcoming surgery for sure.
ReplyDeletePraying for your and your husband's good health.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Glad you are feeling better. Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteSometimes you need things to break apart to get a refresher. That's how I felt when we lost power for a week & we had to clean out the fridge - a new fresh start. It's got to feel nice to be free of so many clothes you dont really wear.
ReplyDeleteI'm so loving that Joe is into doing that devotional reading with you. It's just nice to dig into God's Word together as a pair!
Terri I have been de cluttering as well It does feel good to have some empty spaces in my home!:) I have even gone through my books and donated a big pile to the friends of the library.
ReplyDeleteSo happy you are better - hopefully Joe is on the upswing too! So happy to hear things are headed in the right direction for Joe's heart also!! Congrats on the closet clean out - I am sure the charity will be thankful! Have a great day Terri!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better and Joe is on the way to get better as well. A clean home is always great. I had a cleaning lady that did half of my home when I worked. I miss her:) Good help is hard to find and expensive. Any little bit helps. She used to do my bathrooms and kitchen really good. That was a huge timesaver.
ReplyDeleteFor a moment there (reading bullet point #6) I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me! Ironic how the Universe makes room in its own time and place.
ReplyDeleteSooo glad to hear the two of you are feeling better!
I love when Mr D and I do a Bible study together. Mr D was sick a few weeks ago and it took a while for his cough to go away. There has been a lot URI here, the doctor's office was full. We've been talking about finding someone to come clean our home, I just hate letting someone in the house that I don't know. My girls want me to get past that because they know I need help with the housekeeping. Maybe...I'm still thinking about it. I don't know Terri, if a shelf fell in my closet I don't think I would even get up and tend to it. lol I know, I'm bad!! (yes I would)
ReplyDeleteOnce you get a person to help clean, you will get to know her and trust her!! We love Nelly and her sister, Francheska. They even brought us a gift when they went on a cruise! Get some recommendations from friends and don't use one of those bigger firms - you won't get personalized help that way. They do mostly commercial properties. I did without for three months and had to call them back!! Keep us posted!! Hope your hubby is better!!
DeleteI am so glad you two are getting over the nasty cough finally. I know how awful that can be. It can just wear you out! Sweet that Joe is doing the Bible study with you. I've tried to get Tim to do one with me but between his work hours and him not being much of a reader, I just can't get him to do it.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful thankfuls! I love that Joe is doing the study with you. I'm so glad you two are doing better. It's nice that you share everything with Joe, but some things shouldn't be shared. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that you see the positive in a broken closet. Hooray for someone to help you clean!
Blessings in a closet collapse . . . Things to be thankful for are all around us if we only look. Praying for you and Joe, and glad he's enjoying Bible study with you.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Terri!
So many good things in this post. So glad that Joe is doing the Bible readings with you. Alan and I read three chapters each morning together right after breakfast. Alan is a good "explainer" of the text for me.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you found help with your housecleaning! My house had not been cleaned for two weeks so today was the day.
Also, praise the Lord that the doctors are moving Joe towards a valve repair. So, thankful for prayer. We will pray for the surgery.
Who knew that a fallen closet shelf could be such a good thing? It looks like many people have benefited already.
Enjoy your weekend or at least Sunday. On Sunday we are supposed to get a huge wind storm. HOld on! Spring is just around the corner.
Good things to be thankful for. Really good news about Joe's heart valve repair. Good to hear both of you are getting better about coughing...pray it is all gone soon. Hugs and blessings
