Black & White Memories

In place of the Wednesday Hodgepodge, which we all still hope Joyce brings back this Fall, use this fun filler to share old photos and the memories that go with them!!  Since some of you aren't as old as me and may not have black & white photos to share, color photos work too as long as you share the memories!!  There really aren't any rules, but I hope you will link up with us and share!!

I went digging to find a few that I haven't shared before.  At least it has been awhile since I shared these old photos...

Didn't everyone have a naked baby picture taken back in the day?
This is me at 6 1/2 months old and that makes it mid-July 1952.
This was in my grandma's backyard.  Sorry - I don't remember posing!!

I DO remember my sliding board and swingset.
This was in our backyard in Washington Court House, Ohio, on
Washington Avenue. I must have been around three.

And my first BIG bicycle, for Christmas,
same house but in the living room.
It was great being an only child for a little while!!

This is my maternal grandmother, Ethel Jane Willman.
She was quite the flapper girl back in the day!

This is my sassy-looking mother.
I was not born yet and this was a picnic at the lake
with my dad, Aunt Dot, and Uncle Bill.

My Uncle Jim Clouser, posted on Facebook reminding the family
of the Clouser Reunion this weekend.  That reminded me of
the Willman Reunions when I was a kid.  We had SO MUCH fun
with cousins at Serpent Mound State Park every summer.
I sure do miss those gatherings - and my cousins who I don't see often enough.
Vicki, Lana, Bobber, and me...

Do you have some memories to share with us today!!  Leave your link below so others can find you!!

Before I go, my appointment with Dr. Hahn went GREAT!!  I am nearly healed, can drive again! And Joe heard her say four more weeks of limited lifting and activity!  Still taking it easy, but I did drive us home and then to Publix!! Hooray for good doctors!!

Thanks for your visit!!  Peace & hugs!!

  1. As always, I enjoyed looking at your pictures and seeing a bit of how life used to be. Times really were simpler back then, weren't they?

I hope you had a good report at the dr's yesterday and are back on the road!

  2. Yay, Terri! Did you feel a little like 16 again with a brand-new drivers license? :)
I had to chuckle at your first photo. My parents must not have gotten the memo, but my son didn't get off so easily. :) My favorite is the new bicycle. Ah, those rites of passage!

  3. Teri, such a cute baby picture!! It does kinda look like you were posing!! I love your pigtails and all the pics you had today. Seems like we all enjoyed more of those things such as picnics. You and I both are the oldest!! Yes on the good doctors! So glad you are healing and can drive now. Continue on!!

  6. I love these photos!! I have one of my maternal grandmother much like the Flapper one you posted of your grandmother. Even the dress is similar. I think those short hair cuts were quite daring back in the day.

  7. Look at you on that bike in that dress. So sweet.
HAHA - baby photos arent like they are today, are they? Just on a blanket in the back yard. None of this baby session with baskets & props :) haha

  9. Thank you so much for hosting this. I enjoy looking at your pictures. We actually were raised fairly close to each other. I was in Lebanon and or Morrow, Ohio growing up and have been to Serpent's Mound too.

  14. Love that cute pose in the first photo. Looks like you have things to do and places to go! Lol. Love the bike photo too. Brings back memories of my own! I remember the day I learned to ride! I read back through quite a few posts to see all I've been missing!! Glad surgery went well and that you're recovering nicely! Take care. xo

  15. All such good news! Prayers answered. I'm thinking I should have waited another 20+ years to have my surgery. Your recovery is sooo much shorter than mine was!

  16. Your mom sure does look sassy! (In a good way.) I have some rather sassy-looking pictures of my Mom too. Maybe I'll share some next week. I do have a naked baby picture! NOT so sure I'll share that one though. Thanks for the link up! It was fun to see your pictures and read about your memories.
