Some of you will remember when my BFF, Elaine and her hubby, Jim, were here for a visit a few months ago. We, of course, talked and reminisced during their visit and our weddings came up. I asked Elaine to share a few of her wedding pictures since I didn't have any. She was in my (first) wedding and I was in her wedding. Oh my, we were so young! She emailed these to me last week and I was so happy and TICKLED to see them! Bear with me as I share them here!
My 'little' sister Tammy was in charge of lighting the candles on the altar.
My 'little' sister, Patti, was in charge of the guest book.
I was a bride's maid. Look at my long hair. Oh my!!
Elaine's older sister, Judy, was Maid of Honor.
Elaine's little sister, Peggy, was a bride's maid.
The happy bride and groom!
The entire wedding party.
The wedding was held in the Methodist Church that we all grew up in.
Thanks for indulging me in this walk down memory lane!!
Wishing you a blessed week ahead!

Peace & hugs!

wow and double wow.... Where does the time go?
ReplyDeleteLove traditional weddings. I've been to some strange ones in more recent years. The sacredness of the vows has diminished significantly with so many couples (but not all, thankfully).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. Thanks for sharing.
I enjoyed seeing the pictures of the wedding and see you in it. Bet it was a really nice ceremony. Happy Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteThose were the days Terri. I posted a picture from our 1976 wedding today. I love seeing my blog friends when they were younger.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos and even better memories I am sure! I love looking through all of my old photo albums!!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos of what must have been a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed the trip back in time this morning!
It's always fun to take a walk down memory lane. I don't think I've ever seen a wedding where the bridesmaids wore veils before.
ReplyDeleteI love looking at older weddings & the styles of the day.
ReplyDeleteFun, recalling those hair styles and wardrobes! (Is that a leisure suit I spot on one of the guests?)
ReplyDeleteWhat a gift, being able to revisit that happy day!
Beautiful memories, Terri. This sure tickled my fancy!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
