Weekend Recap on Monday...

We had a great and busy weekend! I have lots of photos to share...

Friday, May 11, was our 33rd wedding anniversary.  Thirty-three years have just flown by!  We went out to Bone Fish Grill for our anniversary dinner.  We love Bang-Bang Shrimp. I could just make that my appetizer AND entre'!

Joe took my picture...

and I took his!

Bang-Bang.  YUM!!

My dinner was one of the specials.  Pineapple and Macadamia Nut crusted shrimp, tempura asparagus, and risotto.  It was delicious!

Joe rarely gets seafood. He had the steak and garlic potatoes with slaw.

The waitress took our photo and found out it was our anniversary.

She came back with this yummy creme brulee and it was free!!

Saturday morning, Joe wasn't doing well with his bursitis and decided he couldn't handle going to Mayfaire.  It was rainy (first time in 20 years or more that it rained on Mayfaire Saturday) so I took off on my own. I was excited to see old friends (co-workers) more than the art but did enjoy seeing at least half of the artists' works.

Hattie and Murph!  They come from Michigan each year. Murph used to work at the Museum. We are having dinner with them on Wednesday before they head back home.

I have known these two kiddos since they were in their momma's womb! They are what we call "Museum kids" because they have grown up there.  Love their dad, too.  Their mom is the Education Manager at the museum (where I worked before retirement).

The early crowd was sparse but the rain had just stopped.

Mayfaire Info...

Laura & Kalisa

Gregory and Terry (she is one of my lunch bunch girlfriends too)

The Polk Museum of Art.  I love this place!

Meghan and Danielle
Danielle asked if this would be in my blog!!
I love these young ladies!! They are besties outside of work, too!

And I had to pop in the back (behind the scenes) where Al was keeping the golf
carts and radio check-outs organized.

On Sunday, I heard from Darlene and from Jeff and Kali, and from Kathy.
There were many Facebook greetings for Mother's Day.

I received beautiful tulips from Jeff & Kali. Had to put them up on the shelf to keep the cats out of them but they are so pretty. I'm not a good flower arranger, but pretty just the same!

We went out to dinner with our friends and across-the-street neighbors, Anne & Paul.
We had a great time and the food at Carrabba's is always good.

Joe is good one day and not so good the next, but today we see the cardiologist and hope to have a plan for getting his valve fixed. Tomorrow we see pain management to hopefully get some help for his arthritis and bursitis.  You know I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for stopping in!  Peace & hugs!!

We have a Bone Fish Grill in Huntsville. I love Bang Bang Shrimp that is served at Cosmos in Orange Beach. They call theirs Firecracker Shrimp but it looks like the same dish. And Like you, I could eat my fill of it!!

  13. Nice pics of you two on your anniversary! Glad you had a nice supper and then a good time at Mayfaire.
I laughed at your comment about the tulips and cats. I could never have flowers when Oliver was here. He was always trying to nibble the flowers! :)

    1. Oh, thanks or remembering Gregory! Yes, his 2nd hernia surgery went well and he is healed enough that he is doing kick-boxing twice a week!

  15. Those tulips are beautiful. They don't need special arranging because they hold their own so well.

You all look so good in the pictures. Love you guys!
