I will start the post by telling you that Joe and I are both better! He is walking without his cane and says his leg/hip feels 'almost' normal again. Praise the Lord!! Each day my cold is a little better. Less coughing, and my voice is almost back to normal. Oh, the Pulminologist appointment yesterday, for Joe, went well. His asthma is 'moderate' and is not a problem for him if he continues with his inhalers. This also tells us that his shortness of breath is due to the heart valve. More about that after our appointments on the 14th. Until then, enough about all that!!
Here are some photos I took this week...
Vinny and Lucy in the kitchen windows, watching for birds or squirrels.
Lucy sleeping on the bed, totally gone in la-la land...
...until the camera clicked, then she had to cover her face.
Sandhill Cranes with their babies (colts) in the clinic parking lot.
Blogging friend, Pam, showed us a similar 'family' in her neck of the woods!
Not sure which is scarier for them... cars or gators.
This is Joe, walking way ahead of me going to the Pulmonologist yesterday.
I wanted to drop him off at the door, but he had me park.
For the first time in weeks, we actually ate out! Had a gift card to use.
We did a lot of carry-out this last month, but actually ate inside yesterday!
We are not really fond of Red Lobster but enjoyed our lunch.
Now, for this last one! I didn't take this photo, my friend Teena did. Teena and her hubby are touring Ireland, Scotland, and England. She messaged me from Scotland and I asked her (with a wink) to say hello to anyone she meets with the name Cameron. My maternal line includes Camerons. Teena sent this photo from the Culloden Battlefield where so many Scots lost their lives. If you are familiar with the Outlander series this will have serious meaning. This maker is where the Cameron Clan fell during the battle. Wow. Thanks, Teena!! This is pretty amazing and meaningful to me!
We are off to the farm (Joe's client) today. They got back from a two-week vacation on Tuesday. It's actually good that they were gone since we have both been under the weather. It will be nice to visit with the animals. I have apples to take!! They will be happy to see me! 😁🐐🐎
Tomorrow, our old neighbors (from our previous home) are taking us out for dinner to thank us for taking care of their cats when they were gone last weekend. Not necessary but we will have fun catching up with them and the old neighborhood. We are meeting them at a favorite Italian restaurant.
Thanks for peeking in! Thanks again for all of your prayers!! We are so blessed! Peace & hugs.

Love seeing the cats....I miss mine so much. How neat that your friend sent that to you from Scotland. I know you will have fun at the farm with the animals....they will be happy to see you too. Glad to hear of the improvement for both you and Joe. Now enjoy visiting with old friends at the restaurant, and have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteAww that's so cute when Lucy covered her face.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you and Joe are doing better.
Have a fun weekend!
Good news all around that things are a bit better.... Lucky you... I love horses. Another hot one today,,, high 80's but thats nuthin!!
ReplyDeleteWe hit 90 today, but it's not humid yet. Beautiful day.
DeleteI am so relieved to see this, that both you and Joe are finally much better from your illnesses and aging bodies. I was getting seriously concerned.
ReplyDeleteLucy has the best idea! Smiles---I am so glad to know both of you are doing better. Keeping you in prayer.
ReplyDeleteYour cats are so funny! I know you enjoy them! Glad to know you and Joe are on the mend...and that you will get to go to the farm today! Such fun! I have not read or seen the Outlander series, but have it on my library list to check out when the first book in the series gets back to the library. It is so popular there is a waiting list. I did not know that was your ancestry! That will make it more interesting as I read it! How neat that your friend found that marker! Amazing!! Have a beautiful day...oh, and enjoy your dinner out with your friends!
ReplyDeleteSomehow I missed the Sand Hill Crane picture and mention when I read this the first time...glad you pointed it out to me! Duh! How'd I miss that? I think cars can be pretty scary for them. They tend to blend in with the gray of the pavement on the road, and oftentimes we can't see them in the road until we are right on them. We have "bear crossing zones" in our area, but we really do need "Sand Hill Crane Crossing Zones" as well!!

ReplyDeleteTrying this again ... this time with my brain engaged!
ReplyDeleteSuppose Lucy believes herself to be Greta Garbo? :)
Fun image of Joe ... now we see what you see!. My sons calls this being an 'ambush photographer.'
Hope you've tons of fun at dinner tonight!
I love the photo of Lucy covering her eyes.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you are doing better and will continue praying for your health.
Lovely photos.
Lucy just didn't want her picture taken, she is a sleeping beauty. Glad Joe got a good report from the doctor, and glad you're feeling better.
ReplyDeleteThis is the best update ever! So glad you are both doing better.
ReplyDeleteI love that old gravestone.
The Battle of Culloden was a famous event in 1746. About 2,000 Jacobites were killed or wounded in the brief battle; and only about 300 government soldiers were killed or wounded. I visited the site near Inverness years ago.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I had to giggle at your cat covering her face when the camera clicked, lol!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you're both feeling better and can enjoy life a bit more. Loved that picture of Joe walking way ahead of you even with a cane! Can't keep a good man down!
What a treasure - the picture of that monument!
Cute cats! I sure miss ours . . .
ReplyDeleteGlad to know that Joe and you are doing so much better. That's great news!
Blessings!
It is so good to see that God does answer our prayers. I am so glad that Joe is rid of pain in his leg/hip and that you are finally well again. Now you can eat out with friends and enjoy your spring.
ReplyDeleteLove your sweet fur babies. And how nice of your friends to treat you and Mr Joe with lunch for taking care of theirs. So glad that you both are feeling better. It's about time. I know you're going to enjoy seeing the animals... maybe not as much as they will you when they see their treats! Sorry I'm once again so late in visiting. Doing more for my mom is taking up a lot of my time. Plus it's spring and we have yard work.... and now we're taking care of hers, also... and her yard is huge. I might be too old for this! Hahaha I hope you're having a wonderful weekend.
