Tickled Tuesday...

I am still more than tickled on this Tuesday about the outcome of the Super Bowl!!  Needless to say, Joe is thrilled that his Eagles have finally won a Super Bowl!  We were clapping and yelling so loudly that it's a wonder the neighbors didn't come running to see if we were okay!  Ha!!  Fly Eagles, Fly!!

I am also still tickled about our trip to Mazzaro's Italian Market with our neighbors yesterday.  Sharon and Bob weren't able to come at the last minute because Bob injured his knee and they needed to go get an x-ray.  We were sorry that they missed going and that we missed having them along. We still took two cars, so the 'girls' rode together (I drove) and the 'boys' went with Paul in their car.

When we take someone to Mazzaro's for the first time, we always take advantage of the photo-op props, and this trip was Jill and Murray's first time...

We also asked a woman to take a group picture of us with one of the tiny cars...

It was a fun few hours.  We had lunch there, shopped in the market then went to the other building where the 'gifty' things are.  Imported ceramics, candles, appliances, and lots of kitchen items and teas and tea things.  It was great fun!  We are so blessed.

I also need to mention our Guardian Angels because I was more than tickled that they traveled with us yesterday.  What could have been a horrid accident with a terrible outcome was instead just a heart-stopping Praise God few minutes on I-4.

We were in the center lane when someone speeding came up on our right and cut off a woman two cars in front of us.  When she hit her brakes to not be hit by the crazy person, her car went sideways, burning rubber and stopped broadside in our lane. The car in front of me got stopped before hitting her.  I got stopped before hitting the car in front of me and THANK YOU JESUS AND ANGELS the huge construction truck right behind me saw it all happen and was able to change lanes and not hit me, which would have thrown me into the car in front of me and that car right into the woman sitting broadside.  No one got hit, no one was hurt, the woman sitting broadside got over the berm (probably having a heart attack) and those of us who were stopped were able to continue on 'as if nothing happened'.  My front seat passenger, Anne, said I was as white as my blouse.  My heart was pounding. I was commended for being a good driver and we all counted our blessings as we continued on to Mazarro's.  You just never know what a split second will bring.  We know for a fact that there were Angels keeping our cars from being hit. It could have been awful and our husbands were ten minutes behind us and would have had to see us squashed in a mangled mess of metal. That was on our minds too.  Still praising God and thanking my Guardian Angels.

So, on that note, I got some funnies from a couple of my email friends and picked two to share with you on this Tickled Tuesday.

Thanks for your visit today!!  Peace & hugs!!

  6. OH MY WORD... I'm as white as your shirt about now too. How can something like that happen with no accidents & you not give God a high five on that. You know all those drivers angels were exhausted after protecting on that one.

  7. I praise God for keeping you from being harmed. That is scary just reading about it. It is good you could go on to the Market, which helped take your mind off of it for a bit. Loved the cartoons...lol You are right, we just never know from one minute or one day, what is going to happen.

  8. Whew! Thank you, Lord, for angels watching over that whole situation. What a horrible tragedy it could have been.

As for the game...I'm over here in Western PA being a Steeler fan. For us, since our boys weren't in it, we had to decide which enemy to cheer for. The Eagles and Patriots are both much hated rivals. I chose to be glad for the Eagles because the Patriots cheat and I don't want someone tying the Steelers 6 Super Bowl wins record. Especially Tom Brady, Mr. McCheaty-pants, himself.

  9. Oh dear Lord, thank you! I'm stunned. Unlike you, I've become a real coward about travelling interstate highways.
Love how you closed with reasons to laugh. I'd like to frame that last meme and hang in the powder room! :)

  12. That I-4 - -- - part of the reason we may never return to Florida until construction is complete. Horrible lane markings. Also we were amazed at the speed of people with such poor road conditions. I think I mentioned it was like driving in Atlanta - - but at least Atlanta's construction is complete. So thankful you are okay.
I was just mentioning to someone yesterday that I remember the days when people were very vigilant about staying under the speed limit because they were worried about being ticketed if they exceeded it. Not any more! I mentioned on time a long time ago that I wondered why more tickets weren't being given out and someone said that law officers had so much else going on with drugs, gangs, etc.
And I said it already - - - but really, really thankful you all are fine - - and got to have a great time!!!
