The weekend got here faster than usual this week, most likely because we spent most of the week at the hospital. I won't go over that again, except to say that Joe got to come home on Friday and he is doing just fine. His diet is somewhat restricted for two weeks, but nothing we can't handle. Praise God!
Friday evening, we had plans to go out to eat with our friends, Teena and Randy, but I had to cancel those plans earlier in the week because we weren't sure Joe would even be home by Friday. Need to get another dinner scheduled with them soon!
Saturday was also very low-key. We watched some TV shows we had DVR'd and Joe took a couple of naps. His back was really hurting from the hospital bed. Our Tempurpedic felt really good to him and I am happy to report that his back is okay now, too.
Yesterday we had plans to meet up with some Museum friends at the First United Methodist Church for their Christmas Concert. The church is huge and their fine arts department is active and practically professional. They have an orchestra, three different choirs, including a bell choir and the youth choirs. We've gone the last few years and are never disappointed. After the concert (we went to the early 4:00 concert) we went to Longhorn Steak House for dinner with Gregory, Kalisa and her hubby Donald. We had a great time!! Here are a few photos and I will also try to post the short video I took of one of the selections.
The program.
That's me and Joe (he looks so good!).

Full orchestra and adult choir.
This photo shows the youth Praise Choir.
Hope the video plays for you!
Kalisa and Donald stopped by our house after dinner. They hadn't been here yet so we were happy to give them a tour. All three cats came out to say hello to them (they are cat people too).
So that's our weekend. Tonight we are invited out for my birthday dinner at Reececliff, and for birthday cake back at Helen's house. I need to get to Publix sometime today. We have haircuts tomorrow. I have decided to go SHORT. Yep. Short.
Thanks for peeking in today! Yes, it is my 66th birthday!! Whew!!
I'm not bashful about my birthday! Ha! I think birthdays are special and should be celebrated!
