Friday Foto Friends.....

Happy Friday!  I'm linking up with Deb at Breathing In Grace for her Friday Foto Friends link-up.  You can find Debbie's blog HERE!

I am writing this on Thursday night, but Joe's doctor told us that if the night goes well he will be able to come home Friday!!  So far, so good.  The x-ray showed no blockage now and he is eating solid food.  All systems seem to be working so fingers are crossed!!

The only new photos I have are from the hospital, so here are my offerings for today's link-up....

This is the view from the 7th floor, where Joe's room is.
That is Lake Parker (our biggest lake) in the background to the right.
The Emergency Room is visible too and is where this journey began for us this week.

This is Joe's daytime nurse, Wilmary.  She is from Puerto Rico.
We now know all about her and her family. She is so nice and has taken
really good care of Joe and his roommate.
The window was painted by her and she was proud of her work!

The nurses are having a contest for the best-decorated window.
Not many were done yet so we couldn't vote, but the nurses were having fun.

God bless our nurses, everywhere, and all those involved in caring for patients in hospitals and extended care facilities.

With luck and prayers answered Joe will be home before lunchtime today!!  Thanks so much for keeping us in your prayers and for the good thoughts!

Peace & hugs!!

  1. Hoping Joe gets to come home today.
That is so nice that the nurses paint the windows. Hospitals can be so dreary especially around holidays.
    Have a great day!

  3. Praying all goes well for Joe to be home today!! I know you will be happy to get him back home. Hospitals are wonderful for the purpose they serve, but there is NO PLACE LIKE HOME! I love the windows the nurses have decorated. That is so nice. Yes, our nurses are very special people and need to be recognized and appreciated. I have had some wonderful ones in the past, and it always seemed as though God hand-picked them just for me. Praying for a good day for you and Joe today...and a peaceful, restful, joyful weekend.

  4. So thankful for the good reports on Joe! I missed seeing the incident until a day later. Praising God for you all getting to the hospital in time so nothing ruptured and also thankful for the speeding diagnosis. Also thankful you are RETIRED and could put your life on a new schedule to be there with him.

  11. Painted windows is such a clever idea! I vote for Wilmary's olden street lamp! CARE-givers like her are such a blessing.

  12. Oh my goodness. I would be in so much trouble if I had to decorate a window. I'm glad Joe is improving and hopefully, he is home by now. Great view from your window.

  13. I had to go back and get caught up on what's going on with Mr. Joe. So glad he's doing better, but I know that had to be scary. Glad he's got such great nurses taking care of him. Hope you both have a great weekend! 💜

  16. Gosh, Terri. You could have helped those ladies paint a few wintry scenes on the windows, too. Hugs to you hand Joe.

  17. I had to read back to see what happened to Joe. I sounds like a very painful experience. Glad that they helped him and that he is feeling much better.
