Friday I emptied out our bank for change so I could roll the the coins. The bank was nearly full. Joe and I both drop our change in it. Joe does every day and I do when my coin purse gets too full.
We had a whopping $76 dollars and a little extra to put back in the bank for seed money!
Took it to the bank and got paper money for some extra cash to spend on Saturday.
Friday I also had lunch with my lunch bunch girlfriends. Melody couldn't come and Cindee was not feeling well so we only had Terry, Shirley and me at first, then Heather joined us after she went by to check on Cindee. It was fun catching up with everyone but sad that two of our group were not feeling well.
It was such a pretty day!! We sat outside for lunch. Look at that sky!
Saturday we had a road trip planned with Al and Theresa to visit Renninger's Antique Market in Mt. Dora. We picked them up at 9:30. Unknown to us, there was a special extravaganza event going on. The line to just get into the parking lot was long and after spending nearly 40 minutes driving around to find a parking spot (through deep sand and narrow thru-ways) we gave up. We decided that even if we found a place to park closer than two miles from the building, the crowds inside would be so ridiculous that we would not have enjoyed it anyway.
We left there are decided to visit the Lakeridge Winery again. Al and Theresa had never been there so we were happy to rescue the day and take them there. We also went to The Crooked Spoon for lunch and they enjoyed it too!
We took a selfie before the tasting began.
Joe and I took a selfie outside. Not good at selfies!! LOL
A view of the beautiful Florida sky through the grape arbor.
Sunday was laundry day again...back to Sunday laundry days, at least for a couple of weeks. We enjoyed not doing much of anything. I did make my menu list for Thanksgiving and from that made note of a few things we still need from the grocery. We moved our dining room table around to allow us to put the leaf in and bring another chair out (keep them in the guest rooms). I'm getting excited about the holiday and the cooking and the love around the table!! Joey and Darlene are due on Wednesday, with Darlene's mom, Cecelia. Helen and Cheryl will also join us. The puppies will be here too.
You may have seen this on Facebook, but our grandniece Nikki gave birth to our first great-grandniece, Maya Naomi. They were released from the hospital on Sunday and Nikki posted this photo....
So that was our weekend! Today we are running a few errands, including getting that shopping list taken care of. How was your weekend? Thanks for your visit! Peace & hugs.

You are busy Terri!! But a good busy. I enjoy seeing all your outings!!
ReplyDeleteAwwww congrats on the new grand niece. 😊
ReplyDeleteAwe your friends look so sweet. So how far down are you in Florida - you never mention if it is hot where you are. We do the same with our coins too. sandie
ReplyDeleteLakeland is between Tampa and Orlando, so we are right in the center of the state. Smack dab in the middle!
DeleteFinally have a hot spot close by! Nice to catch up with your whirlwind life!
ReplyDeleteNice to see you here!! Wondering about your move and how you are doing!!??
DeleteThat was a busy weekend, alright! BTW, I like the Thanksgiving theme on your blog. So cute! and of course kitties. :-) I look at the photo of that newborn and doesn't it seem strange that just a wee bit before that, little Maya was all comfortable in the womb and now she's already been introduced to the world of clothes and tags. She's so sweet and tiny!
ReplyDeleteYou really have been busy - but so fun too! We save our change too. It really adds up!
ReplyDeleteMaya is such a beautiful little baby! And you are right...the time speeds by even when you are retired. Enjoy your Thanksgiving week! We'll be here in the cold looking out at snowy mts...but at least the sun is out every day! That helps a lot! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteOHHHH - new babies... what a precious thing!!!
ReplyDeleteI need to empty my piggy bank. I love tossing it in there & forgetting it & then finding out I have some fun spending cash.
Mt. Dora? Good idea to opt for Plan B! Who needs more stress ... particularly this time of year?
ReplyDeleteLoving your selfies. The camera's my favorite part of my cell phone!
Thank you for posting about your change. We have a box full of coins and we tend to forget about it. It is too heavy for me to move or carry. We may be surprised just how much money we are saving in our "piggy bank."
ReplyDeleteMaya is so beautiful! Babies are so precious!
