Tickled Tuesday Time....

Here is one for the little grandkids.....

I was tickled yesterday to go to breakfast at Crackle Barrell with the Mas Verde ladies.  Every Monday, the ladies meet for coffee in the Clubhouse, except for the first Monday of each month when they carpool to a local restaurant for breakfast.  There were about 26 women who converged on our Crackle Barrell yesterday morning.  I have to commend the staff at Crackle Barrell.  They jumped in, pulled tables together, got us all seated and took care of us perfectly.  It was lots of fun getting to know more of our neighbors.  Prayer requests were made at one point for a family member of one of the ladies.  We are so blessed to have settled in here at Mas Verde.  I took one photo of our 10-person table and also snapped a couple of shots in the gift shop.  I think everyone loves Cracker Barrell gift shops.

Last night we had a Home Owners' Association meeting.  It is always important to participate in the HOA.  They do a lot for the homeowners here.  There is a Thanksgiving dinner coming up and they do a Christmas dinner the weekend before Christmas. Nice.

Today we are off to Mazzaro's Italian Market with Anne and Paul (across the street neighbors).  Joe has a lab appointment first but we hope to be headed toward St. Pete by 10:30.  Tonight is hamburger and hotdog night at the Clubhouse.  For $5.00 you get a hamburger and bag of chips.  For $4.00 you get a hotdog and a bag of chips.  They also have potato salad and chili.  We are meeting Theresa and Al up there at around 5:00 for a very inexpensive supper!

In between, I need to get the guest room ready for company and get some baking done!

Tomorrow, I get cortisone in my knees and then we will be off to the farm (Joe's client).  When we get home, we will be anxiously waiting for Joey and Darlene to arrive!!

Speaking of my knees, someone asked about my knee that I fell hard on last week.  It is still sore, still bruised, and I am waiting to see what the doc says about it tomorrow. It is better than it was and I'm sure is healing.  Thanks for asking about it.

Thanks for your visit, too!  Peace & hugs.

  1. So glad your knee is better. I've been praying for you about it. I know from my bad knees that it is no fun when they are hurting. What a great idea to get together for a fun time with your neighbors. I love Cracker Barrel. It sounds like a wonderful place to live.

  4. We are going to the GP today hoping Marvin can get some cortisone in his knee as well. It is still bothering him. His back is great...if we can get everything feeling better it will be a blessing. It sounds like your new home is just a fun place.

  5. Sounds like you and Joe chose the perfect place to move to, and that you have met and are meeting neighbors. Makes retirement even more fun. Anxious to hear what the dr. says about that injured knee and if he will inject it as well. Let us know when you can.
