Friday Foto Friends....

It is Friday already!  Time to link up with Deb over at Breathing In Grace for her Friday Foto Friends!  Thanks for hosting the link-up, Debbie!

The sky yesterday morning!  Glorious!!

Thursday began with my 10:30 facial.  I've been going to Dawn for years and years (and so has Joe!).  Over the years, she and her husband have become friends as well.  We spend the hour talking, talking and more talking.  She helps keep my skin moisturized and clear while we do all that talking. I also get my brows waxed while there.  Sorry if that is too much info (TMI).

She has a little book corner in her waiting area.  You can take a book home and just bring it back when you finish....or keep it and bring a different book to add to the shelf.  A nice offering!

When I got home, we went to our friend Helen's to get some papers signed so the roofer can get started on her new roof.  After dropping her back home, we visited for another 30 minutes or so and then went home to wait on another client of Joe's come by with some papers.  She was an hour late, but.....when you are retired, does that really matter?  After she left, we went to Hobby Lobby for a few things.  I have a couple of projects that I got supplies for.  It made me think of a video I saw on Facebook that made me laugh out loud!  I can't get the video to post, but here is the LINK.  I hope!

We got home and puttered around a bit.  Joe suggested Five Guys for dinner.  He wanted a hamburger and I had none in the freezer (how did THAT happen!!).  Five Guys burgers and fries are delicious, but I do not want to know how many calories and carbs we ate. Oh my goodness!!

At home again, we sat down and watched the last two episodes of ENDEAVOR, Season Four.  Love that show and am upset that we have to wait for season five now.  Bummer.

Today, Joe has his facial appointment and I am having lunch with my lunch-bunch girlfriends, Shirley, Cindee, Heather and hopefully Terry.  Melody has a bad cold and isn't driving down this time.  We will miss her. L-R in this photo from a year ago Heather, Terry, Me, Shirley, and Cindee.

This is a late add-on!!!  Our grand-niece, Nikki, and her husband, Dimitri, had a little girl yesterday!  Nikki was in labor 35 hours!!  But here they are, Mom, Dad, and little Maya!!
Mother and daughter are doing fine!
(Nikki is the daughter of Joe's older brother's oldest son.)

Welcome little Maya!!

The weekend is here!  Do you have plans?  Thanks for your visit!  Peace & hugs.

  4. What a beautiful baby girl! Maya is a lovely name!! Congratulations to the family!! 35 hours of labor...yikes!!That hurts!! But what a wonderful reward for her labor! Sounds like you've had a busy week even though you are retired! But that does help keep us feeling useful and happy and energized! Some day I must try to have a facial. You are always glowing, so it must really work!!! Have a wonderful weekend and pre-Thanksgiving!

  6. I love all the photos and that Maya...just precious. We are going to a wedding tomorrow morning, then Pilgrimm Thanksgiving at Amelia's at five. We are moving it inside as it is going to pour rain. However we will hope for next year to eat outside.

  11. I'm sure that Nikki already considers little Maya worth all that effort!! But wow! Congrats to them. So nice that Dawn has the little free library. That's such a good idea. I could have a Huge free library but there's no one out here to read them. I love Endeavour and Thursday. We just watched Alibi with Michael Kitchen on Acorn. We both liked it! He is so good!

Love Dawn's wee lending library, and I especially love your great-great-niece's name. Welcome to the world, little one.

  15. Patsy Clairmont is so funny! My husband and son just got home from their craft shows. Chad was selling at Gettysburg and Alan had his display in Bradford. The video was so appropriate for our day. Thank you for sharing.
