Tickled Tuesday....

Happy Tuesday!  Here are a couple of little ditties that made me giggle.  Hope you smile at them too!

--------------------

We are up and out early this morning.  After having the day free, we got a call from our friend Gregory asking us to take him into Orlando for an appointment with his surgeon.  He is having some pain and thought he should see the doctor about it.  We are happy we can help him out.

Joe and I went to Sam's Club yesterday.  Our list was long and the basket was filled.  We had bottled water, Propel, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and much, much more.  When we got home, we started to unload.  We typically do it like an assembly line.  Joe brings things to me in the doorway and I put them in the house.  That way we both avoid making multiple trips up and down the three steps.  It has always worked beautifully for us until yesterday.  Joe handed me a case of spring water.  I turned to set it down on the table and, in turning, I was thrown off balance.  I dropped the case of water, hoping to right myself but down I went, hitting really hard on my 'good' knee and bashed my face against a box.  My lip is swollen and my knee is really buggered up.  Nothing is broken (that I can tell) but I am keeping ice on the knee and dug out my brace to help support it. I really need new knees. Sigh.

Anyway....we are off to Orlando this morning.  Thanks for your visit today on this last day of November!  Happy Halloween!  Peace & hugs.

  3. That sounds awful, Terri! I'm so sorry!! I pray that heat and ice and anti-inflammatories can get your knee all better again. At least you can be off your feet on the ride to Orlando today.

  4. I am hoping Joe is driving and not you. You are so kind to help your friend even though you are injured. What a freak thing to happen. You couldn't do that again if you tried. I'm hoping and praying that you feel better and the swelling and pain decreases as the day goes on.

  8. Oh Terri! I hated to read about your fall. I hope you feel better soon! It's so kind of you and Joe to help out your friends like you do. The world would be a better place of everyone helped each other out like that! Blessings to you both!

  9. Oh no, Terri! I'm so sorry. Your system is very similar to ours except we carry the water together these days. I hope you have a quick recovery. Bless your heart.

  12. Bummer, bummer, and bad OUCH! I don't know if your glasses are bi-focals but I have to be careful cuz mine are that plus something else to correct the astigmatism. That results in bad perception and until I got used to them - - - almost sea-sickness.
So thankful you are "not broken" and praying you don't hurt too much while healing. Remember Thursday will be your third day and might be the most discomfort until healing truly begins on Friday. I don't know what it is about that third day - - - probably a medical doctor could explain the science behind it.

  13. Oh no, Terri! I'm so sorry you fell and hurt your already hurting knees! Not to mention that it probably didn't feel great on your face either! Oh the hazards of putting away groceries. Seriously, those little accidents can be so disruptive. It always makes me wonder how many more 'almost' accidents we have each day that we don't even know about. Blessings on you and Joe. So nice to help out your friend.
