Lots of Questions for Sunday Stealing....

Thanks to Bev Sykes for this week's Sunday Stealing questions!  Join the fun HERE!

What's a Crush?

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on  WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. You may have heard the expression, “honor among thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we try to credit the blog that we stole it from, if possible. We also provide a link to the victim's questions in our "Previous Victims" widget. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") Sometimes we edit the original meme, to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, to select the best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from recently asked questions from a previous post. Cheers to all of us thieves!

This set of questions is called "Questions to ask Your Crush" but it seems like a regular old set of questions to me!

1. What do you find hilarious, but most people don’t find funny?
Slap-stick. I laugh when someone falls....even myself.

2. What was the best year of your life so far?
This year!!  Better than last year and not as good as the next will be!

3. What’s your favorite thing to do on the Internet?
Blogging!  :)

4. What fad have you held on to even tho it isn’t popular anymore?
I don't think I'm a fad follower anymore....not since high school, anyway.  Maybe a diet fad...I'm trying to stay away from sugar and starch, similar to Adkins.

5. What do you spend most of your time doing?
Since retirement, watching TV and hanging out on the computer, when Joe and I aren't out and about.

6. What do you spend way too much money on?
Eating out.

7. What event, large or small, has changed the course of your life most?
Retirement and moving to a 55+ community. It's all good.

8. Who do you have a hard time taking seriously?
Most of the celebrities on talk shows.

9. What do you judge people for most often?
I try really hard to not judge people, and I'll just leave it at that because I don't want to make a political statement.

10. What was the most beautiful view you have ever experienced?
Flying over the Italian Alps on our way to Venice.

11. What is something you read or heard that has stuck with you for a long time?
Well, I could name several Bible verses (like Matthew 6:25-34) but having once been a worrier, Joe would tell me all the time...."Worry is interest paid in advance for trouble that rarely comes." I'm not much of a worrier anymore.

12. What’s your favorite thing to shop for.
Purses!  Why?  You just can't have too many purses!!  :)

13. What’s the best compliment someone can receive?
Gosh. That depends on a lot of things... perhaps "I respect you" or "I believe you".  Sometimes it's as simple as "You look nice today".

14. What’s something people go on and on about and you just can’t stand sitting through?
Most things political.

15. What’s something you can do that most people can’t?
Whistle through my teeth.

16. When was the last time you tried to look cool and ended in embarrassment?
I can't think of a time I've ever tried to look cool and was embarrassed.  Looking back at earlier photos, though, I probably should have been embarrassed!  Ha ha ha.

17. What is the most ridiculous rule you have to follow?
Can't think of a thing.

18. What country do you not know the location of, even though you should?
I had to look up Granada not too long ago.

19. What do you have a hard time with but most people find quite easy?
I am not good at making small talk with strangers.

20. What’s the most impressive skill you have?
I don't have any impressive skills.  I'm just an average kind of gal who can do lots of things okay, but nothing really 'impressive'.  Jack of all trades, master of none.

We have had a good weekend so far!  Thanks for stopping by today!  Peace & hugs!!

  1. Good questions today, and good answers. We have so much in common, it is unreal....I was trying to talk my soon to be daughter in law into blogging and was telling her about my friends here, and you in particular because we have met. She was amazed that people all over this country and around the world could have things in common to share with one another. Hoping the remainder of your weekend is restful as you ready for the new week ahead.

  2. I hear you about the blogging...my husband is like, "But why? They are total strangers." "Whatever" is usually my answer to him...he doesn't get it. lol

Great questions and answers...I'll be 55 in 4 1/2 yrs....I wonder what that will hold for us? (giggling at that answer you put about moving to a 55 and over community)

    Have a great day, friend.

  4. Several of your answers could be my answers even though I said something else. Eating out? Definitely spend too much on that here, as well. I'm just too tired to want to cook at the end of the day. Yes, purses! Tim calls me the Imelda Marcos of purses. LOL Small talk with new people is absolute torture!

I continue to enjoy seeing how satisfied you are with your life and how much enjoyment you have in it. It's so nice to see after all the negativity and whining on other blogs and Facebook.

  5. I enjoy reading blogs when I have time. I used to enjoy writing them but can't find much time to write anymore.

I looked up an island recently. I think a hurricane was nearby. Had no idea where it was. lol

    Have a great day!

  7. I can't help laughing when someone falls either!! Now I want to know if you have found the perfect purse yet or are you still looking. I get so irritated about thinking I have and when I get home, I have to go back to the old one.
Good answers. Just yesterday I commented on how much money had been spent this week at Kroger, Costco and Walmart and then we eat out! Say What??

    1. I doubt I'll ever find the 'perfect' purse! LOL Joe and I do the same...got grocery shopping and then go out to eat. Always. Go figure.

  8. I go food shopping and then talk Joe into eating out also. Ha, ha! What's with us? It's hard to find the perfect purse. I try to have six of them and change out every 2 months to make them last longer. When you find a good one, you want to keep using it. I'm hard on purses.

  9. I like your answers...and I think I just plain and simple like YOU! You seem to be my kind of friend. Thankful we met!!! (Someday in person, I hope!)

  10. I always enjoy your answers! I agree on Politics - I'm so sick of it! Like you, I love to shop for purses. :)

  11. My mother would have adored having you as a daughter! Unlike me, who's content to carry whatever's handy, she loved her purses. And, shopping for them ... torture.

Interesting. None of the people I like best say they enjoy small talk. Yay, us!
