Getting to Know You
Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. You may have heard the expression, “honor among thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we try to credit the blog that we stole it from, if possible. We also provide a link to the victim's questions in our "Previous Victims" widget. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") Sometimes we edit the original meme, to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, to select the best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from recently asked questions from a previous post. Cheers to all of us thieves!
We can all use some help sometimes with conversation starters, so I found this at a conversation starters site. There are 100 of them, but I'm only using a few! (I'll save the rest to ask sometimes in the future!)
Sorry I didn't play last week; I was out of town!
If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time? Sleep!! LOL
What’s your favorite piece of clothing you own/owned? Jeans and a t-shirt anytime and all the time.
What hobby would you get into if time and money weren’t an issue? I would travel the world doing genealogy research.
What would your perfect room look like? I'm sitting in it. Comfy. A view of a beach would be nice, but I am quite content where I am.
How often do you play sports? Ha. Never anymore.
What fictional place would you most like to go? Can't think of anywhere I'd rather be than where I am, fiction or fantasy.
What job would you be terrible at? Customer service. I would bounce people out on their butts and lose my job.
When was the last time you climbed a tree? So long ago that I can't even remember.
If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance at winning a medal for? Sitting in front of the TV and/or computer.
What skill would you like to master? I wish I could play piano, and I wish I could speak Spanish, Italian, German and Vietnamese.
What would be the most amazing adventure to go on? Castle hopping in Germany, Scottland, and Ireland.
If you had unlimited funds to build a house that you would live in for the rest of your life, what would the finished house be like? Traditional and comfortable. My home has to allow feet and animals on the furniture and snacks while watching TV. Comfy!!
What state or country do you never want to go back to? I have only been out of the country to Canada, and once to Europe. I would LOVE to go back to Italy. I've only been in a handful of states and can't say I hated any of them enough to not want to visit again.
What songs have you completely memorized? Too many to list here and that includes a few of the marching band songs I played on my trumpet in high school.
What do you consider to be your best find? Besides Joe, it would be our new home. We are SO blessed to be here.
Are you usually early or late? Early.
What pets did you have while you were growing up? A dog and several cats.
When people come to you for help, what do they usually want help with? Before I retired it was accounting questions or human resources issues. As a friend, it is usually someone needing a ride and an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on.
What takes up too much of your time? Facebook and Blogging, but it is what it is. I'm not quitting (yet, anyway).
What do you wish you knew more about? The Bible. I am hungry right now for a good Bible study to join.
What would be your first question after waking up from being cryogenically frozen for 100 years? What the heck did you wake me up for?

What a wonderful answer!
From a few of your answers I am guessing that you really are enjoying being able to sleep in now. lol
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
You had better not give up blogging!!:)) I would be very sad. Like you, traveling and doing genealogy research would be a fun thing to be able to do. Marvin has a grandfather that seems to have vanished off the face of the earth and I would love to find out what happened to him.
ReplyDeleteOHHHHHHHH a new spooky blog layout, I love it, Terri, smiles.
ReplyDeleteGreat answers, I hope you have a beautiful day friend.
I really like coming here and seeing your contentment with your life. That's something that is really missing for most people...always wanting something MORE. It's just really refreshing to come across.
ReplyDeleteLaughing out loud about your take on customer service! I can't get over why people believe they're so 'entitled.' Ugh.
ReplyDeleteYour 'finished house' sounds perfect; just the inviting kind of place I hope to recreate in our new place.
PS - Sometime won't you share your secret for making jeans comfy? I've never met a pair that I didn't wind up itching to take off.
Customer Service! I feel like I do a lot of it, and it's not my favorite part of the job. :)
ReplyDeleteI'll go castle hopping with you and we can both wear jeans and a t-shirt. :)
