Bev Sykes brings us the questions each Sunday so we can answer and link-up with others HERE! Thanks, Bev!
Creepy Crawlies
Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. You may have heard the expression, “honor among thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we try to credit the blog that we stole it from, if possible. We also provide a link to the victim's questions in our "Previous Victims" widget. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") Sometimes we edit the original meme, to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, to select the best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from recently asked questions from a previous post. Cheers to all of us thieves!

Here are some questions about bugs and other things you might find interesting. It's another of those memes I stole many years ago without copying down the location of the place where I stole it!
1. You are walking down the road and you look down. There is a bug. Do you step on it? Most likely.
2. What is one fantasy that you want to come true more than any other? Toss up between world peace and winning the big lottery. (Grinning...I don't spend much time fantasizing. Sorry!)
3. Someone knocks on your door. Do you look out the window to see who it is before you open it? No, but I do check the peep-hole. Do you open it regardless of who it is? Most of the time I answer but there have been times I've left someone out there standing.
4. Have you ever eaten Play-Doh? No, I have not.
5. What was your favorite Saturday morning cartoon as a child and why? I remember liking Bugs Bunny, the Road Runner, and Yogi Bear and Boo Boo. I haven't a clue why. It was a very long time ago. I guess they made me laugh.
6. Are you a “people watcher”? Yes. It can be quite entertaining.
7. I have a bowl of fruit. There are apples, oranges & pears. You help yourself to one - which one do you choose? I might be inclined to take the pear if they looked ripe. Thank you! I don't usually buy them.
8. What is your biggest pet peeve in the blogging world? Those who remain anonymous (don't use at least their real first name). Hard to have a friendship or a level of trust without a real name.
9. What is one religion that you could just never see yourself joining? Muslim. No way. I will always believe in Jesus as the Messiah and my Savior. That also means I could not practice Judaism, but I do respect the Jewish traditions and Old Testament beliefs. I support Israel.
10. What word do you use far too often? Probably 'fiddlesticks'. I really don't know and Joe just shrugged his shoulders when I asked him.
11. How long do you spend in the shower? No more than 10 minutes.
12. If you were to write a personal ad about yourself, what would it say? Haha. That is not something I would do. If I HAD to, I would tell the truth....fat old lady with gray hair, etc., etc.
13. Your favorite flavor of soup is….? I love soups. Broccoli Cheese is a favorite, but so are homemade vegetable and homemade chicken & noodle. Oh, I like chili and I like black bean, ham & bean....
14. You are sitting on a bench in the park and a bug walks in front of your feet…. do you squash him? (I am assuming this is a different bug from question #1) As long as I have my shoes on, I would probably squash him. There are SOME bugs that I would leave alone though. How could you squash a praying mantis, for instance?
Thanks for stopping by my post today! Peace & hugs!

You really nailed question 14... Thanks for staying "on top of it" ! :)
ReplyDeleteOur answers are very similar again this week...good because so far I'm feeling like the odd man out with the Sunday Stealing crowd. The liberal thinking and strange religious thinkings are really coming out with this one.
ReplyDeleteAs for bugs, I draw the line at the ones that would crunch or make a big mess if I stepped on them....and I guess the praying mantis would fall into that catagory. Lucky for him!
We try to relocate bugs back outside when we find them in the house. Doesn't always work, sometimes they get smooshed when we are trying to catch them but it's the thought that counts. ;)
ReplyDeleteYour answers here made me smile as I picture a fat old lady sitting on a park bench squashing a bug and trying to decide about her favorite soup mumbling fiddlesticks! Your answer to the religion question was "on target"!!
ReplyDeleteHa Ha!! How would you squash a 'praying mantis'? LOL. I don't usually squash bugs unless they are in the house. Then they are fair game. Had to kill a scorpion the other day! We live in the woods, and anything is possible... I love all those soups too, and don't forget potato soup, tomato soup, I even like split pea w/ ham sometimes. I think I ate play-doh. We used to make our own...did you? flour and salt and water and food coloring. Don't remember the measurements. I loved all those cartoons too...don't forget Popeye... I'm like you..the pear if it looks ripe...I don't buy them either! I eat a lot of apples, however. This was fun..
ReplyDeleteI also love pea soup! LOL We did not make our own play-doh. Yes to Popeye. I don't go out stomping on bugs, but if it looks like it will fly at me or try to crawl on me, it is toast! LOL
DeleteI've never heard anyone (in real life) use the term, Fiddlesticks ... that's cute! Now that it's finally getting cooler, I'd like to make a pot of split-pea soup. Ironic, because Tom and I both hate peas!
ReplyDeleteI'd not considered a praying mantis. The only one I try to spare (when Tom's not looking) is a cricket. They're all relatives of "Jiminy" to me.
Almost always our answers are very similar. However, I have never said "fiddlesticks" :) and I don't like broccoli cheese soup!
