Saturday....

The power was out last night so I didn't get a blog written or anymore blogs visited.  We had another bad thunderstorm blow through. Good grief, enough already!

Joe and I are headed out to look at golf carts.  When I retire and we only need one car (two more weeks!) we will sell his and buy a used golf cart.  Good for going to the clubhouse for mail or to the pool, or just to ride around the community.  Need to start looking. Anyone can drive them....

Peace & hugs!!

  2. Our friends in Jacksonville just bought a golf cart for the same reason. I think that would be fun.

  6. Oh...I want a golf cart so badly....or something I can ride around the yard to haul tools, garden soil, etc. What a GREAT idea to get rid of a vehicle....awesome savings on insurance, upkeep, etc. You're a smart woman...and you're counting down the days. So happy for you!

  7. We had some bad storms pass thru a few nights ago. Luckily our power only blinked a few times and we doesn't lose it.

Ooo a golf cart is a great idea.
    Have a great day!

  8. Hahahaha! Love that little gif. I can just see you and Joe riding around the neighborhood in your golf cart. We've been having storms, too but I am a storm lover and everything is so green this summer. Of course, the mosquitoes are annoying as they can be. Luckily, we rarely lose power in our neighborhood during a storm. The last time we lost it it was a transformer that blew. People are running the heck out of their air conditioners right now. It's HAWT, girl!

  9. These storms are getting rugged. What happened to those afternoon Florida "showers" that have turned into a Fire and Brimstone thunder and lightening event? Lost our power as well. LOL

  10. It seems like the rain storms this summer have dumped more rain than usual. There have been lots of flooding everywhere here in Ohio.

If a monkey could drive a golf cart, then I think that I could. He is so cute! Have a wonderful day!

  11. FUN stuff! Are you or have you taken a survey to find out features you want/don't want/will use/won't use on the cart? Like will you have two bench seats so you can take friends/family for tours or won't the extra seat be used much? Will the extra seat face forward or backward? Will it have space for packages/golf clubs/ice chest/place to carry casserole dish to a potluck? Will it have a windshield - - and the ability to attach clear plastic zippered sides to protect from rain or to keep in body heat in the winter?
Please let us know as you look into this fun purchase. I was looking at pictures and one even had a ramp you could attach for wheelchair access! That sounds more fun that shopping for a car!

  13. When we first moved here, Jay wanted a golf cart. Then he decided on an amphibious ATV. After he sold that, he drove around on his riding lawn mower. I love the golf cart idea for living in a community such as you are. Have fun. I know you're very excited.
