Linking up with Rebecca Jo at Knit by Gods Hand for Thankful Thursday!
We have all written about thankfulness over this Thanksgiving holiday time, but there are always things I am thankful for!
- That our boys care about me. I'm the step-mom but I feel their love. Blessed.
- That we have good friends around us! Blessed.
- That our faith in God is strong. Blessed.
- That my corn casserole was a hit Thanksgiving and at our pot-luck lunch at work yesterday.
- That Christmas is coming! I'm excited about it this year! It will be our last in our current home (hopefully) and my last at the office. More blessings!
- That my brother-in-law had a good report from his doctor and is still recovering well from his massive strokes two years ago. Blessings!
- That December is here! This year has flown by, for which I am thankful actually. Hoping 2017 will bring good health and an easy move and retirement!
Thanks for peeking in today! I appreciate your visits! Peace & hugs!

Has it been 2 years, Terri? That is wonderful to read...thank you for the smiles. Have a beautiful day.
ReplyDeleteIt will be two years this month (the week before Christmas). He still needs speech therapy and has trouble with the vision in one eye, but still working on both of those things. Praise God!
DeleteYou have such a positive outlook Terri...you inspire me!!
ReplyDeleteAh the corn casserole. Big smile. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to see this good report about your brother-in-law!
ReplyDeleteGood news Terri. Glad the corn casserole was a hit. So many things to be thankful for. Hugs, LJ
ReplyDeleteSo glad your brother is doing well.
ReplyDeleteIsnt it wonderful when your step children give you love in return. Such a special relationship.
PTL that your BIL is doing well and progressing. I get excited for you when you talk about retirement and moving too. It wont be long.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy that your brother in law is improving! Yes, God is good. And I'm glad the casserole was a big hit. It does sound delicious. Are they gonna give you a big shindig at retirement? Wish we could all be there to cheer with you. Blessings. ~:)
ReplyDeleteIf you all could come, I would say 'party on!' but I really hope a quiet luncheon with anyone who wants to attend will suffice. I don't care to be the center of attention.
DeleteWow! you have a lot to look forward to in 2017! Moving AND retiring? Are you moving very far? What month do you plan to retire? I know you are getting excited. I retired one year ago, and have never looked back....
ReplyDeletePraying for you as you anticipate these adventures. So thankful for your blessings that you shared. God is so good, isn't He???
Retiring in May or June (I think) and hoping to be moved by then. We are just downsizing to a 55+ community. Don't need the expense of a pool and a big yard anymore. Retiring means cutting our living expenses.
DeleteAwesome things to be thankful for. I HOPE 2017 holds those things for you and Mr. Joe, too. I "retired" several years ago and then my hubby lost his job and we cut back on so many things. We're in that situation again since he once again is out of work, but we know God will certainly provide! Thank goodness our home was paid for and we dry older model cars. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhat awesome blessings! I pray that your new home and retirement will be everything you are hoping for.
ReplyDeleteYou have so many beautiful blessings! You've got a big year coming, I know you're excited. We downsized after we retired, it was a big move but it was a good move!!
ReplyDeleteYes; you've a real knack for identifying what's REALLY important.
ReplyDeleteSo much anticipation going on! 'Can't wait to envision your blessings list this time next year! :)
Great list Terri
