Friday Foto Friends.....

Linking up with Deb, over at Breathing In Grace, for Friday Foto Friends.  Join us!!

So here is what happens when you take a day off..... Thursday becomes Friday and Friday becomes Saturday! Ha.  If you already saw my Saturday 9 post, you will see it again tomorrow.

I did take a couple of photos for today's post.  We have been talking with friends, Ann and Tom, for months about introducing them to Mazzaro's Italian Market, over in St. Pete.  Ann is Italian.  Thursday was the day.  They picked us up and Tom did the driving.  That was a real treat for me!

I've written about Mazzaro's lots of times and have posted photos from there before, but did get these two new ones to share today.

Ann thought the license plate was funny.

Ann decided they look really good skinny! Ha!

We spent a good three hours over there. First, we shopped for cheese, wine, pasta and baked goods. Took those bags to the car and went back to order a deli sandwich for lunch. Yummy goodness. Italian paninis.  Then we went to the other Mazzaro's store which is full of kitchen and home goods. I picked up a couple of Christmas gifts and Ann did too.  Done there, we headed back to the Market for some gelato, which we ate outside at one of the picnic tables. All the time talking and laughing. It was a fine day (in the low 70s) and we were so glad they enjoyed the experience as much as we always do!  They are already talking about "the next time".

So I am off from work again today and will have lunch with my girlfriends. Cindee is hosting us for our annual Christmas get-together.  It is always fun when we are together.  Melody isn't driving down from Citrus Springs today so we will miss her, but Heather, Shirley, Terry and I will be there.

Thanks for your visit!!  Peace & hugs!

  1. So glad you are having a good break Terri. You deserve it. I have a friend who has a vacation home in St Pete. We went to Nursing School together and she keeps saying she is going to have all of our old gang down for a visit. If that Happens, you and I will have to meet up at that Italian Market. Sounds like a place I would love.

  3. Mazzaro's looks like the place to go when you need a smile.
Since retiring the day of the week makes no difference as long as I know when it's Sunday.

  5. I also have trouble knowing which day is which sometimes, but hey, it is ok cause I have no where to be, like work! Have fun with your friends today, as you always do.

  6. Wait 'til you're retired. Every day will be like the next ... which is GREAT! And you'll also see why I like Monday's so much. Everyone else is at work and there's peace and quiet. 'Course, out here in the 'sticks' it's always peace and quiet. *giggle*
The cheese, wine, pasta and baked goods all works for me. I could easily be Italian. Love the food. Yum! ~:)

  14. Bada Bing ... love that owner's sense of humor. Can't believe I never heard of Mazzaro's when I was working in St. Pete. (Used to frequent a spot in Palm Harbor called Felice and Sons that made their own mozzarella fresh every day.)

Hope you had a deLIGHT-full lunch with your friends!
