A Hodgepodgeless Wednesday....

Just a quick update for this Wednesday. I'm enjoying having the week off from work!

Let's see, yesterday we got a new garbage disposal installed. Took the plumber less than 30 minutes.  If Joe had done it, it would have taken two days! LOL  Worth paying for the expert.  I also did laundry. Kept thinking it was Sunday, which is (as my readers know) my usual laundry day.  I also put Christmas gifts away.

Joe and Joey ran some errands and one of them was to rent a storage unit so when I get the Christmas decorations put away today, the boxes can go to the storage unit instead of back in the attic. They will be easier to move from there and we can also start de-cluttering and moving some things out to get the house ready to go "on the market". We haven't heard back yet, from the folks who said they want the house, so we aren't counting on them.  We need to keep moving forward. I am taking down the decorations earlier than usual because Joey is here to help with the toting of boxes!

Joe is taking my car in for an oil change this morning, then he has to visit a client. Joey is going to tag along (he is also a CPA, by the way). Not sure what else we'll get into. Time will tell!

Thanks for checking in today!!  The new year is fast approaching!  Peace & hugs!

  1. I'm glad you're off from work this week, too...and have help taking down the decorations. It's much more fun to put them up than take them down...but I do like getting my house back into some kind of order!! Maybe the holidays is delaying a response from the prospective buyers....but, if not them, I know it'll sell quickly! HOPE you have a great day!

  2. Hubby said we are not taking the Christmas stuff down until Saturday...how exciting to be looking at a new place to live and going to list your home, Terri. Keeping you in prayer.

  4. I usually don't put Christmas things away until New Years Day but might start early this year. It's so warm it just doesn't feel like "the Holidays" at the moment. Seems that the Northeast is getting all our cooler temps. Bet they'd share if we asked ... ? *giggle*
I know y'all are trying to sell the house, but I hope your week of rest is enjoyable. ~:)

  8. BTW i don't take any decisions down until after Twelfth Night because it gives me an excuse to keep the Christmas cheer against the long winter. xo

    1. We don't usually take things down this early either, but I was happy to have Joey's help. Joe just can't lift and tote anymore.

  11. Kathy just voiced what I was thinking! Even my 23 y/o granddaughter said something to that effect the other day. (She's an 'old soul', indeed.)

Envious of your week off work; or rather, I should say your 'workplace.' Don't overdo, OK?

  12. You are blessed to have some help right now...and smart to take advantage of it! One step at a time, and all will fall into place exactly in God's perfect timing. I hope you do some fun stuff and relaxing during your time off as well. Praying for you as you look forward to the New Year!

  13. That's a smart move to take those decorations down while you have extra help :) Ed and I are beginning to struggle with moving those heavy totes, too...
Enjoy the rest of your week off, and have a Happy New Year!
