Weekend Recap on Monday...

We had a very nice weekend, and making it even better is that Joe feels good and his heart seems to still be in normal sinus rhythm!  Praise God and thank you for your prayers!  He sees his cardiologist this morning to find out for sure. Fingers crossed and more prayers lifted.

Update:  Good visit with Cardiologist!  Still in rhythm and starting to reduce one of the meds (slowly).  Excellent news!

We made it to Naples Saturday morning.  Our day started with a good breakfast at Reececliff Diner. The trip south was made smoothly. The weather was great.  As always, we were welcomed with open arms and hearts. It was great seeing Tristan.  He has matured and Grandpa enjoyed several "adult" conversations with him about politics and world views.

Kathy had an anniversary cake for us to enjoy after they took us to dinner at a new Chinese restaurant that was really delicious, called O'Mei.  It was nice to be out with them.  The only thing that would have made it better was to have Lauren there too.  Lauren just started a new job that she loves. She is making new friends there and is settling in. We will see her another time.

Kathy and Jim have purchased a new home, closer to the beach (which they both love).  We didn't get to see it because there just wasn't time.  It has been gutted and the decorator is hard at work.  Kathy and Jim will celebrate their 4th wedding anniversary on June 3rd.  They are leaving next week to spend two weeks in France (where they honeymooned) including one of those river cruises (not Viking, but another one). It sounds like a lovely trip.

Here are a few photos from the weekend.....

We were thrilled and proud to see on Facebook and Instagram that our niece, Haley, graduated from college over the weekend.  She is the youngest child (of 7) of Joe's younger brother. Blessed!

Back to work for me today and tomorrow.  We head out Wednesday morning for Ohio. Not sure of our schedule, except that it will be a fast trip up and back with not much time to stop along the way, as much as I would enjoy meeting blogging friends who live close to Interstate 75. We've met a few of you in the past and it is so much fun to meet in person.

Thank you for stopping by today!  Peace & hugs

  11. Well, it is certainly good news about Joe! Praise the Lord. And I'm assuming the restaurant name is pronounced 'Oh My!'? Cute. Love the anniversary cake and isn't it fun when the young people are old enough (and mature enough) to have a real discussion about things that matter! Sounds like a great weekend.
