Friday Foto Friends Link-up Time!

Happy Friday to you and thanks for dropping in today!

I don't have (again) any 'pretty' photos to share, but I did snap a few things this week that I will post here today, linking up with Friday Foto Friends over at Deb's Breathing In Grace.

This is Miss Maddi.  She is a co-worker's new puppy.
Maddi is SO cute and SO tiny!  I get my "dog fix" from my friends' pets.

Joe is so proud of his Villanova Wildcats basketball team winning the National Championship!
He saw this t-shirt on a Villanova site and had to order it. It came in this week.  Love it!

I went to my "old" ortho doc on Tuesday this week, for cortisone shots in my knees. Hoping to make them feel a little better for Mayfaire.  They took new xrays and I snapped this photo when the nurse left the room.  My right knee is listed as "severe" and is bone-on-bone. The left has a tiny bit of cushion left in there, but not much anymore.  Let's just say I am in transition with the knees right now and may try another ortho doc in Tampa that a friend of a friend recommended. Sigh.

I also need to give you a "Joe Update".  He saw two doctors on Tuesday.  Yes, he is still in AFib, but another med was added to the new one and they will give it a couple of weeks to kick in and perhaps work together to get the heart slowed down.  He does have an appointment with a new heart doc who specializes in ablation and pace makers....the next step after the meds.  Joe has also had a lump on his kneecap that has been bothering him for a few weeks. He had an xray a week ago and got the results this week.  He has arthritis in his knee and the lump is most likely a cyst (what we both thought) but they will do an ultrasound on it just to be sure.  I think Joe thought it might be something worse because he was really relieved to learn it is a cyst and arthritis (bad enough!).  When you start to age, life gets real interesting, doesn't it!

Wishing everyone a good weekend!  I'll be at work, at Mayfaire, both days and will have lots of photos to share on my Monday Weekend Wrap-Up.  Blessings to you!  Peace & hugs.

  4. That puppy is precious. But I know I am not a pet person...too much responsibility and mess for me at this stage of life. Hope your knee will feel better with the shots...bone on bone usually means knee replacement. My husband went through the same thing and he was amazed at how much better he felt after his replacement. I have to brag on him as he followed all the doctors orders about doing his exercises at home and he went back to work at six weeks post op. Have a fun weekend!!

  5. Poor Joe - he's just going through it all right now, isn't he?
My dad's knee is bone on bone too. I'm so afraid that's my fate.

  6. Wow, isn't it telling when we're relieved to think that it's a cyst and arthritis! And your knees, bone on bone? Yikes! It's a wonder you can walk at all. I hope you get help from the new ortho doctor, Terri. And I hope the shots help get you through MayFaire. Love that photo. I NEED a puppy, but with upcoming hip replacement, that's not going to happen any time soon. :-(

  7. Love the puppy, so precious and of course I got a chuckle from the shirt. Joe will be so proud wearing it. Life's transition to old age is quite a journey. Mr D always says, 'it ain't for sissies.' Sending prayers for healing.

  12. I hope the shots helped with your knees. It seems to be one thing after another with the pair of you at the moment but glad to see you are philosophical about it. Aww that puppy is just way tooooo cute. I'd love to have a dog but hubby is not keen and can't get another cat until son moves out. Have a good weekend and look forward to seeing your pics :)

  14. A cute puppy can make you smile any time! I know it's hard as we get older, too. I am trying to be grateful that my aches and pains are small compared to others. I will keep you in my prayers.
