Hodgepodge Wednesday!!

Thanks to Joyce for this week's Hodgepodge!! Join in the fun HERE.  It's fun being part of the Hodgepodge Club!

Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 258

It's that time again! Here are the questions to this week's Wednesday Hodgepodge. Answer on your own blog then add your link to the party.  See you there!

1. March is National Women's History Month. In that vein, who are three women who've been influential in your life? My mother, of course.  My co-worker, Judy Barger.  My mother-in-law, Julia D'Orsaneo.  How so?  I've written about my mom before.  Angel on earth, full of faith and love for our Lord and Savior. Beautiful inside and out and I can only hope I'm half the woman she was.  My co-worker and mentor, Judy, for her wisdom and knowledge of people.  My mother-in-law who taught me lots of things Italian, including how to make 'gravy' and so much more!

2. In what ways do you think women have it easier than men?  I don't know if we have it easier, but I know we are smarter in so many ways....and stronger.

3. What do you need most right now: faith, love, hope, or peace?  My faith is strong; I am surrounded by love; I can't imagine life without hope; so that leaves peace... I could use the peace of a quiet vacation with only the sound of leaves in the trees or the surf on the beach.  It's been a crazy few weeks. Peace would be nice.

4. Do you have a collection?  Oh yes.  If so, what do you collect and why?   I quit collecting because I have no room, but I have Cat's Meows; I have cat teapots; I have a collectible Nativity set; I have waaay too many earrings..... need I go on?

5. Plaids, checks, polka dots, stripes...your favorite?  Verticle stripes are okay; so are plaids or checks and tiny polka dots but I really prefer solids or muted colors.

6. In what ways are you the same as your childhood self?  I still love to read and can get lost in a good book.

7. You're a contestant on the TV game show Jeopardy. What category will you ace?   Outlander!  LOL  I'm really not an expert in any category - maybe fund accounting.

8. Insert your own random thought here.  Joe got released by his cardiologist yesterday!  He goes back in three months.  His heart is still in good sinus rhythm, his BP is good, the EKG was perfect! Thrilled!!  He was told to do whatever he wants to do.  Yay!!  Thanks again to all who have been praying!!  The left hand is still a problem and occupational therapy is still on-going.

My sister and Bruce got home safely yesterday.  She sent a text to let us know.  It was sure good to see them and to see the progress Bruce is making!!  Tammy is such a good caregiver.  She sent me this photo that she took before they left for home....

Linda Eller asked me to let our mutual blogging friends know that she is feeling better and will be back in a day or so.  She is thankful for prayers and just wanted to let our friends know she is much better.

I still have lots of blogs to catch up on.  Thanks for checking in here today!  Peace & hugs!

  3. Good news about Bruce and thrilling, exceptional news about Joe! Praise God. I like what you wrote about your mother. What a wonderful heritage. My daughter got into the Outlander books and loves them. She could probably give you a good run for your money in that Jeopardy category. Lol

  11. My mom collects earrings and in turn I collect earrings, now I have way too many. I think earrings are a good collection, they're small and so versatile.
