Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 260
Welcome to the first Springtime Hodgepodge of 2016! I hope there's not snow where you are, but if there is the Wednesday Hodgepodge is a happy distraction. Here are this week's questions.
1. Has spring sprung in your little corner of the world? Yes indeed! Other than the calendar how would I know? We had to turn the AC back on. What's your favorite thing about spring? The beautiful flowering trees.
2. Besides the weather, what's put a spring in your step recently? Seeing my dear friend Elaine for a long 5-day weekend.
3. How does Easter impact you? It makes me feel even more humble than usual, starting with the Passion of our Lord on Palm Sunday and all through Holy Week. What He endured for me is beyond anything I can imagine. Humbled and blessed.
4. I saw this somewhere on Facebook and thought it would make a fun Hodgepodge question. Which of the following would you find most disappointing...
a just stuffed taco shell breaking open and spilling out before you take the first bite? dropping a just-purchased Starbucks/Dunkin Donuts coffee? opening the peanut butter jar and finding it empty? upending onto the sidewalk a just-purchased ice cream cone? a burnt bagel popping up in your toaster when you're rushing breakfast? or cutting into an avocado and finding out it's rotten? Dropping my ice cream would have me seeing red! LOL
5. What's something held together with tape at your house? Or a paper clip? Or a wing and a prayer? Actually it would be my old cellphone case being held on my new cellphone with a rubberband. The new case should arrive from Amazon today.
6. Do you feel underappreciated? Sometimes I do. In what way? It's not a big deal.

7. What's something you'd build if you knew how? Cat tunnels throughout the house for my fur-babies! I've seen some pretty elaborate ones online and it looks like the cats would have so much fun!
8. Insert your own random thought here. I haven't mentioned lately that I am really looking forward to retirement. But I am!! Bring it on!!
Thanks for your visit!! Thanks to those who have added Melanie to your prayer list (yesterday's blog) and for my Joe. Thank you. Peace & hugs!!

Enjoyed your answers, Terri. Sigh, retirement...not for me for a long, long time, smiles. Keeping you in prayer. Have a beautiful day, friend.
ReplyDeleteLove your answer to #3...me, too. Easter is the most important time to celebrate in the life of a Christian!!! I'd be pretty upset if my ice cream cone went splat, too. LOL Happy Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteMy daffodils bloomed and were covered with snow Monday. I hope that was the last snow.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Teri, I prayed for her this morning and also Joe. Your cats would simply love the cat tunnels! Maybe when you retire? :-) I like your answer to number 3. I feel the same way. Have a blessed celebration this weekend.
ReplyDeleteDo you have a retirement date? That's exciting! I hope your hubs is doing okay. I have him in my prayers too. We had our a.c. on for a few days, then put the heat on, then the a.c. went back on. It's Spring : )
ReplyDeleteSometime after the first of the year. I'll be 65 and medicare eligible in December. That's what I'm waiting for....insurance.
DeleteThank (to everyone!) for the prayers. Joe is waiting to hear about another cardioversion and/or catheterization. Next week, now, I guess.
DeleteYou and our older daughter both would enjoy doing the cat playground throughout the house!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it something when retirement gets closer and our desire turns towards it? Even though I am babysitting the grandkids Mon-Fri, I still enjoy not serving the public and meeting deadlines, etc!
Loved the cat playground. I am looking towards retirement. I can retire anytime...just not quite ready.
ReplyDeleteHello...from one ice cream cone lover to another :)
ReplyDeleteAs a fellow cat lover, I could appreciate that cat playground, too!
Retirement is great, except for the pay, but it's well worth the sacrifice.
In case I don't get back over here, I hope you and Joe have a happy and blessed Easter.
Those cat tunnels are pretty amazing! We still a good ways off from retirement, but I still look forward to it. Have a Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your answers, especially the ice cream. Ice cream is too delicious to drop on the ground! I don't have any cat babies but I love to look at pictures of the cute catwalks people have put in their homes.
ReplyDeleteOh I so agree about the ice cream! lol The cat tunnels look great but my son's moving back in soon and is allergic to cats so we are a no pet household at the moment. (That's just how hubby likes it but once we're empty nesters again I'll be working on persuading him to at least allow me a cat and / or a dog.
ReplyDeleteSummer is coming here too! And we have the a/c on. And I would hate losing ice cream too - or chocolate!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have a friend whose house has cat tunnels all over. It's really kind of cool and her cat loves them. I turned the AC on a couple of weeks ago. Which is ridiculous for us. It's going to be a long, hot summer if this keeps up.
ReplyDeleteI think the cat tunnels are so fun! My daughter once house sat for someone that had 4 cats, and they had little doors cut out of the bottom of many of their doors so the cats could come and go. They were arch shaped and very cute!
ReplyDeleteStill praying!
dog tunnels would be awesome for my fur baby.
