Tuesday Catch-up Tidbits....
Our son's plane arrived at Tampa International Airport a few minutes early (8:04, instead of 8:13), on Sunday night. It was so great to see him, and have him with us this entire week! We are about an hour away from the Tampa airport, so we didn't get home until almost 10:00. I had baked some banana bread earlier, with a couple of over-ripe bananas, so we all had a piece of that when we got home, while we chatted before turning in.
Yesterday, Joe and I got up and went to Mass at 9:00 a.m., since it was a Holy Day of Obligation for Catholics. The Feast of the Immaculate Conception of our Blessed Mother Mary. When we got home, Jeff was up and ready for the day, so we went out for a late breakfast, then did some shopping. We let Jeff pick out some things for his Christmas gifts, while he is here and we know he is getting something he likes. We ran errands and did some shopping for most of the day, and it was a miserable day, weather wise. It is cold again this week, and there was a bone-chilling drizzle all day yesterday.
I made a pork roast, mashed potatoes, corn and a salad for our dinner. Not sure what I'll feed my boys tonight, but it is sure nice having an extra mouth to feed!! :)
It is only Tuesday, but I can already feel this week flying by, because I have so much to do!! Yikes! Is anyone else feeling a little out of control, with Christmas just a couple of weeks away?
Thanks for stopping by today! Peace, love & hugs!

Time sure is flying by! Sounds like a good day visiting yesterday and I look forward to what the next days bring. Your dinner sounds so good!
ReplyDeleteI love banana nut bread and make it a lot in the winter. I've been thinking about a nice pot of chilli for a couple of days now. Doesn't that sound good with some cornbread? Whatever you make I'm sure it will be good. Have a good day, Terri and company.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great day. My in laws live in New Port Richey, which is where we go when visiting FL. Near you?
ReplyDeleteAbout an hour north and west from us! Certainly doable for a visit next time you come! We go to Tarpon Springs frequently and like to have lunch there. Keep me posted!!
DeleteMmmm banana bread. Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteSounds wonderful and yes, time seems to be speeding by!
ReplyDeleteIt's so fun to cook for family, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteHow fun to have your family close by at any time of year.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy all the time you have together. I know you will.
Now, as for that pork roast? Got leftovers and a bun...I would love a cold pork roast sandwich please.
The days are going by too fast. I hope your week with your son is full of good memories.
