When Lauren and Tristan, and our son Joey were here for Thanksgiving, they went through old photos with Joe. It did my heart good to sit there and watch them and listen to the stories and questions.
Here are a few of the ones they wanted me to scan in for them.....
Our two boys (my step-sons), Jeff and Joey
Jeff is now 47 and Joey is 51.
Our boys with their two Italian Grandmas, Julia D'Orsaneo and Rosella DelGesse
My Joe with the two boys (long before they were in my life) - aren't they cute!
Joe, his brother Lou, his dad and mom, and his brother Nick
Joe was in the Army Reserves
Joe, receiving an award for outstanding trainee, from General Wooten
It was such a good time having the kids here. Lauren even emailed me to say next time, she wants to look through MY old photos (and we are only related by love-lines!!). Love that girl.
Thanks for stopping by! Peace & blessings!

How fun to go back in time with the kids!!! Loved your family share to day Terri.
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing they are to you. I too would have been thrilled to see them going through old photos together. Why is it that I seem to think that every Italian grandma can cook like Lydia Bastanich.(sp) lol
ReplyDeleteJoe's mom was a great cook, but his late wife's mother could not cook at all... when we went to visit them, we would stop and get pizza, and always told her to not do anything... we're bringing pizza! LOL
DeleteThat's neat that they went through old pics.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
What a special time you had hearing the guys tell the stories of the pictures. Family is everything!
ReplyDeleteThis is what family is all about...handing down the stories together, learning through oral histories. Good times. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these old photos. Lauren is clever to want to.know about her family. Sad to say I don't know a lot about my family history. My sister, Jackie, and I even argue about the origin of our surname.
ReplyDeleteThose are wonderful pictures! It's so nice when the kids are interested in family history.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos. We did that too while visiting Mark's mother!
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful family and beautiful memories preserved in those photosl
ReplyDeleteWe need to sit down as a family and look through pictures...maybe over Christmas. I enjoyed seeing yours.
