Sunday Stealing: Are You....

Are You?

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard of the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we try to credit the blog that we stole it from. We also provide a link to the victim's meme in our "Previous Victims" widget. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") Sometimes we edit the original meme, to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, to select the best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from this new meme or recently asked questions from a previously featured meme.
Cheers to all of us thieves!!!

The Are You Meme
Stolen from: From My Random Randomness

1) Are you psychic in any way?  No.

2) Are you a good dancer?  Not any more. My knees won't allow me to dance, but I loved to, before my knees failed me. I've had tap, ballet, modern jazz, clogging and club dancing lessons.  Too old, too fat, and too arthritic now.

3) Are you a good singer?  Not really, especially since my thyroid surgery and my vocal chords were messed up a bit.  In high school, I tried out and was in the All County Chorus one year. Alto.

4) Are you a good cook?  Not fancy, by any measure, but moderately good.

5) Are you a good artist?  Not really, but I do try.

6) Are you a good listener?  I think so.

7) Are you a good public speaker?  Oh my, no!!!  Terrified to speak in public!

8) Are you a good babysitter? Not any more!!  No patience or energy for more than an hour or so.

9) Are you a good mechanic?  I know enough to make me dangerous.

10) Are you a good diplomat?  Probably not. That patience thing again....

11) Are you a good employee?  I believe that I am. Been at the same place almost 18 years. I think they like me.

12) Are you a good dresser?  Not any more. I go for comfort and sale racks now.

13) Are you a good swimmer?  Yes, though not as strong as I used to be. I was a qualified life guard when I was younger.

14) Are you a good skier?  No - water or snow.  Tried them both and don't care to again. Yikes.

15) Are you a good gift giver?  I love to give gifts. Just wish I could afford to give more.

16) Are you a good musician?  I used to be a decent trumpet player (high school). Took piano and organ lessons, but didn't become accomplished on either.

17) Are you a good comedian?  No, but I'm always happy to set things up for Joe, who can be hilarious!

18) Are you a good cleaner?  Yes, when I am motivated! LOL

19) Are you a good actor?  No - that public speaking thing again. Put me behind the scenes, please.

20) Are you a good writer?  I got As in English. I do okay, but am not that creative, to write a book or even a short story.

We went to Mass yesterday (the 4:00 Vigil). Our Pastor is celebrating 25 years as a Priest.  There were lots of people there, including some of his family. The choir sang (we usually don't get to hear them - they do the 10:30 on Sunday) and there was a reception after the Mass.  We didn't stay for the reception. We went to Olive Garden for dinner, then did a little more shopping.
The neighbors got home from their cruise and said they had a wonderful time on the Carnival Breeze, out of Miami.  I know their cats are happy to have "mom and dad" home.

We got the decorating done yesterday (that's our "pencil tree"), and I am cleaning today. We pick Jeff up at the airport tonight. So looking forward to having him here this week.  Wish I had the whole week off, to spend with him, but I am happy he and his dad will have time together.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Wishing you peace & blessings!

  4. I like your little tree too. Hope you son arrives safely and you enjoy the time that you can spend with him.

Sometimes I have what I think are psychic moments though they just might be coincidences. Of course, I'm a good cook. As the Spanish saying goes, I haven't got a grandmother, i.e. someone who always praises me. I'm terrible at singing and drawing and dancing, but that doesn't stop me.

  5. I really like your tree. So pretty. We've had ours up all week, but been too busy finishing up an arbitrary project before decorating it. Maybe today is the day. Hope you've had a wonderful visit with the fam. Happy Sunday. Hugs.

  6. Your 'pencil' tree is so pretty. I miss having a big one. I cant carry a tune if my life depended on it, but I love music more than most. I also took those same dancing classes when I was young. I know we were related in another life! lol

  8. Goodness sakes, I can't keep up with all your posts!! I love you pencil tree. I've never had one, but I like them. Your answers here were fun. I definitely was never good in anything athletic, but I do still enjoy singing, public speaking, and acting occasionally.
