Thanks to Joyce for another great Hodgepodge!!
Here are this week's questions...come back HERE tomorrow to add your link to the party. See you there!
1. Do you manage your own money or do you have a financial planner who
helps in some way? Do those kinds of conversations stress you out? A lot
or a little? Joe is a CPA and I'm an accountant, so we don't have a financial planner. We also don't have enough money to require a financial planner, so thought I would add that to the answer. Ha! Money conversations don't stress me out. You either have it or you don't, and you learn to deal with it, one way or the other. The money matters at work are much more stressful than personal money matters. I have a lot of responsibility at work, and many more dollars to manage.
2. The second week of October is Pet Peeve Week. Off the top of your head, share TWO of your current pet peeves. My all-time biggest pet peeve is people who are late. My second biggest pet peeve is getting a box or package with no "open here" indicated.... and/or an "open here" that doesn't work!!
3. What is one thing you'd like to learn right now, this very week if you could? I agree with Hootin' Annie....the winning lotto numbers, for the next drawing!!
4. How concerned are you about the recent health related news concerning Ebola? How about Enterovirus D68? I am not concerned. I DO wash my hands frequently, sanitize after touching a gas pump handle, shopping carts, and door handles. I try not to touch my face unless my hands are clean. I also stay away from areas that have lots of people who might be sick.....
5. Garfield, Nemo, or Tigger-your favorite orange cartoon character? Definitely Garfield.
6. I'm going to see Gone Girl with
my neighborhood book club this week. So often books made into film are
disappointing. What's a book turned film you thought was well done, in
that the casting was 'like you pictured' when you read the book, and the
film plot remained mostly true to the book plot? I agree that books are nearly always better than the films. I think all of the "Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" movies were very close to the books (NOT the American version, though). The Harry Potter movies followed the books fairly well. Books are always better, though.
7. What is one story your family always tells about you? I'm the oldest of four...first born syndrome. If they are telling stories about me, I haven't heard one, other than my youngest sister saying she thought of me as a "mom" when she was growing up (9 years difference). I had to babysit, start dinner, and clean house, (mom & dad both worked) so I'm sure that's what she saw and remembers.
8. Insert your own random thought here. I am still so very tired, after all of our car travels. I feel like I could sleep for two days......
Thanks for visiting my Hodgepodge, and thanks to Joyce for continuing with this great Meme!! Be blessed!

I am tired after I travel too,so I understand. Hang in there just 3 days (counting today) til you can rest. Being late bothers me a lot too! People who let their children run wild in restaurants, etc. is my biggest pet peeve. Money, what's that?
ReplyDeleteI loved the Girl with Dragon Tattoo movies. I didn't read the books but enjoyed the movies. Gone Girl looks good. Not a movie my hubby would want to see so I will be waiting for Netflix to get it.
ReplyDeleteBeing late bothers me. My hubby is one of those "late people". Drives me insane
Have a great day!
I am definitely with you on people who are late ... not just once in a while, but on a regular basis. I am always early. Maybe that might be somebody else's pet peeve.
ReplyDeleteHow nice to be married to a CPA and to have your knowledge of accounting.
I try very hard to stay germ free, but being around the kids so often it can be tricky. My husband is the one I need to warn and I certainly have been doing so lately.
Good Wednesday to you. Hope you get caught up on your rest soon. We were only gone for the weekend on a fairly short trip and we are both worn out!
Sorry you're so tired and don't get a few 'free' days to just relax. Love the kitty pic. I too can't stand to be late to anything and it drives me crazy when people are intentionally late, time after time.
ReplyDeleteI agree that books are always better than the movie! When making a movie, they always seem to leave out one of my favorite parts of a book. Isn't it amazing how much traveling can take out of you? At least we are halfway to the weekend!
ReplyDeleteMy sister is also 9 years younger and she thinks of me as her Mom too. I have started a meme on Monday called Memory Monday and would love to have you join in.
ReplyDeleteI'll watch for it!! Thanks for the invite!
DeleteI agree with being annoyed by people arriving somewhere late, especially those who habitually show up late. It's disrespectful and keeps others waiting and stressed.
ReplyDeleteFunny, Terri. Katie (my youngest) told me that she always thought Julie (her big sis) was her mom, as well....being such a "late" child, I felt as if I were an only child, so I never saw this in our family. Maybe its more prevalent than I thought.
ReplyDeleteBtw, Tigger is definitely my orange guy....
LOVE the kitty photo in your random!!
ReplyDeleteAnd you and I could have the winning numbers and have some fun...the both of us!! I would go along with that!!!
Loveddddd your answers..Blessings
ReplyDeleteI really liked the Dragon Tattoo series in book form. I haven't seen the movie version. I hope there is a nap in your weekend plans : )
ReplyDeleteWell we have not gone to a financial planner and it is one of the biggest mistakes we've ever done!
ReplyDeleteYou have a very cool attitude about it though.
I have little tolerance for people who arrive late, too!
ReplyDeleteA CPA married to an accountant?! That's a match made in heaven :)
I agree, there is no reason to be late! Enjoyed reading your answers. We always need a vacation after our vacation.....
ReplyDeleteMy brother James, who's changed his name to Jim, will always remember how I always smacked him on the head with my class ring. I'd turn it around so the stone hit him. He was horrible! I like learning New things, so I'd don't have anything in particular I'd like to learn. I agree with your pet peeves. I quite often suffer from wrap rage.
