Monday Quiz About Me - What's your favorite junk food?
Here are FOUR QUESTIONS that everyone can answer and then you have the option to add a fifth question of your own for those who are visiting your blog to answer in the comment section, along with commenting on the four standard questions you answered!
Here are the Questions:
2. Some people call this time the "Dog Days of Summer" - is that accurate for you? Why or Why Not? Well, technically, that just refers to the time of year it is...end of July through the first part of August, so yes, these are the Dog Days for all of us. If the reference is to being lazy because it is so blasted hot outside, then yes, that is true, too!! LOL
3. This week also celebrates National Cousins Day - Do you have many cousins? Are you close with your cousins? I have lots of cousins and we grew up close, and are still close. What a blessing they have been in my life! Sadly, my two first cousins are gone. They died much too soon, of cancer. I have several 2nd and lots of 2nds once removed, however, and we are in touch and visit and care about each other.

4. Are you taking vacation this summer? What are some of your favorite places to go? We don't usually vacation in the summer. We do get vacationers visiting us, however! We prefer to travel in the fall, and are starting to plan a September trip. My favorite place to go.... Italy!

Tonight, I am meeting with a group of women from church. We are making up membership packets, to hand out to all the women of our Parish, on CCW membership weekend (Council of Catholic Women). It will be a fun couple of hours, with friends.

ReplyDeleteI have 2 cousins, one in Texas and one in Arizona and I never see them. I keep in touch with on FB, now and then. We were close when young, but not now. And I love junk food too! I am trying to cut back on that a little to lose a couple of pounds. Enjoy your CCW meeting this evening.
ReplyDeleteI love pies,both savoury and sweet, so that's my favourite junk food. As for cousins, most of my 'friends' on facebook are cousins and their children. I won't even guess how many I have. Touch wood, it's still fairly cool so I can get some necessary chores done. Yesterday I washed my winter quilt and will be taking down the net curtains to be washed.

ReplyDeleteI'm not really close to any of my cousins. I like them, but only two are close in age to me. (My dad was 40 when I was born; he got a much later start than his siblings at starting a family.) We grew up in different states. And for the past 30+ years, I've lived at least 500 miles from most of them. I'm glad to be connected to some of them on Facebook; otherwise, we would be so out of touch!

ReplyDeleteI have a few cousins, in a very small family. I grew up with one of them who is more like a brother than a cousin. He is currently fighting liver cancer and I'm very worried about him.

ReplyDeleteI have lots of cousins - My Mom came from a family of 9 kids, and my dad had 10. I see quite a few of them.
Oh, you had to go and mention those Frosties at Wendy's! They're among my favorite 'junk' food :)
ReplyDeleteMy cousins are gone, but since I was a late-in-life baby, I have a few second cousins that are my age and kickin' around somewhere. I wish I could find a few of them, but most have a common last name or changed their names when they married, and my searches have turned up nothing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great picture of your cousins. I'm really close to my cousins too. They truly are one of the first friends most people have in their lives. As you already know..my favorite place to vacation is in Florida..lol. I would love to visit Italy one day! Have a great week, Terri!

ReplyDeleteOh yes, who doesn't eat junk food, at least once in a while. Yum. I always thought the dogs days of summer meant August or near the end of August. But what do I know! :-) Oh, a trip to Italy sounds wonderful. How fun to plan it.
