Wednesday - nearly over!

It is almost time for me to put my head on my pillow (before Onyx gets there!)! I'm tired and ready for bed.

Tomorrow I will be out of touch here and on Facebook.  I'm looking forward to seeing the museum in Vero Beach, hearing about security systems and issues, and having a change in scenery (so to speak), but not the long ride there and back. At least I'll have company for the trip. Bill is a good guy and I know we'll have a pleasant time.

I did payroll today, and got my biggest bank reconciliation started. It has been a productive week for me, but I am a bit behind in getting March numbers done (due to having quarterly reports to do). It will all get done, however, even with me going away for a day.

Next week, our son, Jeff, and his 'new' girlfriend are coming for a short visit. Friday to Tuesday. We are very excited to see Jeff and meet Shiree. She is allergic to cats!  Yikes!! I'm hoping she won't have too much trouble while here.  We have a friend (Mike) who is also very allergic to cats, but he never has a problem when he and his wife come here. I do keep the house clean, and we have tile throughout the house (except the bedrooms).  I will strip out the guest room and get everything washed in there, vacuumed good, then will keep the door closed to the cats. Hopefully that will help make her comfortable.

The following weekend, we are going down to Naples, to visit with Tristan and family.  Looking forward to that, too!!   Oh, and this Saturday there is a potluck dinner, after the Saturday Vigil Mass, to welcome new parishioners. We are planning to go, but I don't know what I'm making to take yet. I'll probably end up buying something!

Thanks again for your prayers!  I wish you a good Thursday!  I'll have to catch up with everyone on Friday! Prayers for safe travels will be appreciated!  Peace, love & hugs!

  2. When in a pinch for the pot luck thing I take either bakery buns and a pound of real butter, or a tray of fresh fruit, which is better for dieters.

  3. My youngest sister's husband is also allergic to cats, but then he's allergic to everything I think. My mother used to put her cat in an unused bedroom when they visited and the cat loved it. Perhaps he was allergic to my brother-im-law! A couple of summers ago while visiting our sister in Ohio, he sat down in the chair that the cat had vacated a minute before. My friend here who has the cat that I sometimes look after is allergic to both cats and dogs. Anyway, hope your guest doesn't have any problems.

We'll miss you and hope you enjoy your conference.

  8. I'm late getting here, but I'm hoping you and Bill had a pleasant time at your meeting. ** So many people seem to be allergic to cats. I wonder if our immune systems aren't getting weak. I hope you have a nice time with your son and his girlfriend. ** Have a great Friday.
