Blessed Sunday....
Actually, I think every day is blessed, but I found this graphic and decided to use it. I certainly do wish you a blessed Sunday!
I have had a somewhat productive Sunday. I put a pork roast in the crock pot this morning, and the house smells so good! Made French toast for breakfast. I got cobwebs under control, out in our screened area, and dusted all the furniture in the house. I vacuumed and spot mopped, but Joe (talk about blessed!) called Admiral Carpet and they are coming on Tuesday to steam clean our tile and grout throughout the house, as well as clean the carpets in the bedrooms. We usually do it in May, but fast forwarded it, so we have a cat-clean house for Jeff's girlfriend's visit. Made me very happy to not have to worry about heavy mopping and vacuuming before next weekend! So, my cleaning didn't take too long. I am working on laundry, with one more load to go. I really need to get motivated to do some ironing this evening.
I colored my hair this morning. I decided to stop going to get it done, because it is so darned expensive. How can I really justify spending $100 when a box of color costs less than $10? I had decided to just let the color grow out and be 'natural'. A friend of mine at work did that, and her hair is beautiful. My gray, though, just looks dirty. I used my natural, medium blonde. I really prefer the look of two colors done with foils, but this looks okay. At least all the dirty gray is gone for a few more weeks. The price of beauty!! LOL (wink!!)
Wishing you a good Sunday evening and week ahead!! Monday is nearly here. Thanks so much for stopping by! Peace, love & hugs.

Blessings to you! Happy that the house is ready for your visitor. I know you can relax more now. I tired of the cost and time to color my hair and just went gray several years ago.
ReplyDeleteWow you were busy today. I need to color my hair soon. Too much gray showing. I buy the kind at the store too. I am too cheap to go get it done LOL
ReplyDeleteSounds like your honey knew what you needed...that is fantastic and now you can concentrate on the little things. Bet your hair looks great, and dont blame you for the cost is much better for sure. Have a good week ahead.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Terri. The box hair color that you can do at home comes out just as good. I'm getting my hair done on Tuesday. Cast off and hair done. Pedicure next to follow! Doesn't it make you feel good after you get the house clean, and laundry all done for the week. Though I don't iron, only if necessary. Wishing you a great week ahead!

Wow..you did have a productive Sunday! I color my hair too. I often wonder if the color at the salon would last longer than the box but for $10 I just continue to do it on my own. Your dinner sounded so good! Have a wonderful week, Terri!
ReplyDeleteI've never had my hair coloured in a salon, but I have a nice grey colour if I put a blue rinse on it every few weeks, a rinse that I got in the salon so it's not cheap. If I don't put something on my hair, it does look a dirty yellow. I remember my grandmother's hair was like that. One good thing about the hairdressers in my area is that they've reduced the price of a haircut. I'm sure because of the crisis.
ReplyDeleteHope you found some time to relax on Sunday. I can only iron if I'm listening to music.
Hope you have a good week, Terri. I always enjoy coming to your blog. :-)
ReplyDeleteI like your little graphic at the top. ** Having someone else do the heavy cleaning is always a blessing for me. ** I've gone "natural" with my hair color too. Everyone tells me it's pretty, but the white is taking over. There's so much of it. Not sure how long I'm going to stay this way. Being a cosmetologist, my hair has been colored and permed for so many years, this is all new for me. ** Hope you're having a good Monday. ♥
ReplyDeleteMy goodness you got a lot accomplished. I too decided to let my hair go natural, but I'm not liking the color of gray that it seems to be...sooooo in 6 weeks or so I plan to color again - I have always done it myself with pretty good results.
