A Lazy Sunday!

It has been a lazy, wonderful Sunday so far!  I didn't get up until 8:30, which was awesome.  We had a big breakfast, which will last us until dinner time.

I have a big pot of Weight Watchers vegetable soup on the stove.  No points!!  We will have it for dinner and there should be enough for me to take for lunch tomorrow.  As I mentioned in an earlier post, I didn't go for my Saturday morning weigh-in yesterday because of the Concealed Weapons class.  On our home scales, it looks like I lost 2.4 pounds, but ours was off a few ounces from the WW scale.  Next week will tell me for sure, how much I've really lost in two weeks.  We don't count points on the weekends, and just figure we are using our 49 extra points for the week.  It worked for me last time, and I can look forward to the weekend, to have something I've been craving that isn't really 'on the diet'... like an extra piece of bread at Panera last night.

I posted this on Facebook, and will share it here.  Our cats are allowed to sleep with us.  We used to have three or four in bed with us every night, but Amber, Inky and Missy have gone across that rainbow bridge and are only with us in our memories.  Onyx sleeps with us most every night, and Lilly on some nights.  Lucy sleeps under the bed, and Cookie (who can't climb or jump with her bad knee) sleeps in her basket, in our bedroom.  They are all with us, just not all in our bed now.  Anyway, Onyx will gravitate to my pillow, and in my sleep I guess I just give it over to him.  This is what I woke up to this morning, with my head between my pillow and Joe's....

His tummy fur hasn't grown back completely yet, since he was shaved for the ultrasound a couple of months ago, but it's getting there.

My dryer is buzzing.  Time to switch out the laundry again.  Almost done with that.  We have 82 sunshiny degrees right now.  The AC is on and the house is closed up against the heat.  We're to get to nearly 90 by mid-week.  Our summer is knocking at the door.

Wishing you a good Sunday and week ahead!  Peace, love & hugs.

  5. You are doing very well in WW. I found out when I tried dieting that besides needing the self-discipline, I very much needed a good support system. You have a cheering squad right here.
Hope you're having a good Monday.

  6. 82 degrees? Sounds fantastic! And I totally get what it's life to sleep with cats. :-) Lionel (r.i.p.) used to take over my pillow completely. Now Tuppence likes to stand between our pillows and just stare at us!

Sounds like WW is working well for you. Keep up the good work, Terri!♥

    1. Hi Sandie and thanks! No, I haven't bought a gun yet, but will down the road. I need some time at the range and to figure out what kind I will be comfortable with, before making a purchase.
