Let's Blog!
Welcome once again, friends, to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4, and how about talking about blogging this week, since it's something we all do anyway.
Get yourself a cuppa, come sit down at your computer, and let's think about blogging for a bit....
Blog is short for Weblog, a log or diary on the World Wide Web or the internet. Your journal or diary can hold personal stories, ideas, and opinions of all kinds, and can be private or public as you wish. It is an excellent way to document your life or interests.
1. Why did you begin blogging? A friend (and great photographer) was blogging and sharing her photos with fellow bloggers. It sounded like something different to try, so I jumped in. We were using Yahoo360 back then in 2007. When Yahoo360 was yanked, many of us moved to Multiply, and it also went bust a few years later, which is when I moved to Blogger in 2012.
2. What benefits does blogging offer you? I didn't expect benefits when I started blogging, but I have met some very dear friends through this venue. I've met over 20 blogging friends in person and would love to meet each and every one of you in person!
3. Have you made friends from blogging? Oops... I didn't read this question before the above answer, but yes, I have made some amazing friends through blogging. Those I've met in person and those who have stayed connected here through the years! Thank you!
4. Where do you get ideas for things you blog about? Do other bloggers influence you? I have used this as a journal, and do find the questions posed on various days "blog fodder", and yes, the authors of these memes have influenced what I write about. Always interesting and usually fun (though sometimes hard!)!
Peace and Hugs!
I am happy to have met you in 'blog world'. I started blogging in 2010 and was very active for a lot of years. As life changed for hubby, I blogged less but I still get that same 'itch' to share and love reading about others' lives. Blessings- xo Diana

I did yahoo 360 as well. Blogging is fun and just something I’ve been doing now for decades. I used to put out a post a day but I’m not as consistent- some weeks I post everyday and some weeks just a couple. I’ve noticed many bloggers are now just posting once a week or even once a month. I don’t think I could hold everything inside me for that long!
ReplyDeleteGod bless and keep on blogging!
Wow! You've really met a lot of bloggers. I see you and a few others started blogging several years before me and used programs and tools I never got to know about.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to meet some other bloggers in person and what a number! Wow!
ReplyDeleteI love the Pooh quote! So true! So true!
ReplyDeletemy 20th blogging anniversary will be on October 5. Not sure how to celebrate that, haha! I've been on Blogger the whole time. As you know, mine is mostly a diary of our family.
ReplyDeleteOur blogging journeys followed pretty much the same route but I've only managed to meet 1 other blogger in person.
