The Tuesday 4...

Thanks to Annie for today's Tuesday 4!!  You can join in HERE!

October Memories

Welcome to October's first Tuesday 4 kept in memory of Toni Taddeo.
You are always very welcome here and your participation is much appreciated.

1. What memories do you have of Octobers past?   Both grands have October birthdays.  The temps are cooler.

2. Besides here in New Jersey, some of the coziest neighborhoods I've driven through were in rural Ohio and Pennsylvania.   The picture reminds me of those times.     Does this photo bring any thoughts to mind for you?  I was born and raised in Ohio, so the picture does remind me of Ohio.  We had a big maple tree in our backyard that had the most beautiful colors every fall.

3. As weather cools I do enjoy Pumpkin Spice and Pumpkin Latte flavors in my coffee.  Do you like flavored coffees or teas? Which are favorites for you?  I don't like pumpkin flavored anything, actually.  I prefer my coffee, just coffee.  I'm not much into tea but have had a peach flavored tea that was good.

4. An orchard near me not only sells apples but pies and their famous apple cider donuts in the fall.  What kind of pies, cakes and pastries do you like to eat?   I do like cider.  I'm not into pie unless it is custard or cream.  I won't turn down a piece of cherry pie, though. Donuts are good, and cake is good...

Peace and hugs!

Crown Him the Lord of Love,
Behold His hands and side,
Those wounds, yet visible above,
In beauty glorified.

  1. Praying for you in this storm, as you are closer to it than we are. Please stay safe whatever you decide to do! I enjoyed your answers, yes, that house does look like Ohio and also New England. This October is not being nice like October is supposed to be!! Not sure that we will get to have our visit with you and others the way things are going right now! Just PRAY! Love ya, and hope to hear from you on the other side of "Milton".

  2. Praying for the new hurricane - that it just downgrades fast - a miracle. I feel so bad. Prayers. I would say the only thing I miss from the north is it's fall. But we have a pretty nice fall here too. I forget you lived in Ohio - Stay safe.

  3. Hello, my friend. I am not sure where you are in Florida, but please know I am praying for your safety as well as for your entire state. Fall in Pennsylvania and Ohio is an absolute treat! I am finding it a bit warm here in Maryland!

  4. That photo looks like Michigan too. I like it.
I'm making cherry pie today. We are having our pastor and wife, and another couple over for supper, and the pie is for dessert.
Praying for you! Post when you are able to!

  8. I'm inexplicably drawn hard to that house! The only pumpkin I'll be consuming this season is 1 (or 2) slices of pie ... provided they're covered in lots of whipped cream.
Holding you all in my prayers! (Guessing your grand-loves have evacuated?)

    1. Yes, I texted with Tristan and he said they were ordered to evacuate (beach-front condo). This is their second time having to leave their condo. Thanks for thinking of them!
