Friday Fotos...

Just a hodgepodge of photos today, but at least I do have a few to share!  LOL

Look closely at the side mirror.  I noticed the lizard at 3-4 blocks from home, on my way to work one day this week.  He held on all the way to work, which is 12 miles away and across a railroad track.  I helped him off when I got to work and told him to go find some new friends!  I was very impressed with his strength and tenacity.

I talked about my fall up the steps a few weeks ago and how I blamed it on my Crocs.  My sister, Patti, who reads my blog in her email each day, ordered a pair of Sketchers slip-ons for me and they came via Amazon a few days ago.  I laughed when I called her because I seriously thought I had ordered them in my sleep!!  Then I found the gift slip at the bottom of the box!!  What a beautiful surprise and, let me tell you, they are SO comfortable and better yet, I haven't tripped or fallen when wearing them!!  Thanks, Sis!!

This is our newest (fisheries biologist) staff member at work.  Norman's wife knits and she made us all a hat last year around Christmas time.  She knitted a fish hat for Aaron.  (I asked him for his birthdate so I could add him to our list of dates to celebrate... he was born in 2000!!!)  Oh my gosh, such a baby!!  He is a good sport and very nice.  I took the picture so I could send it to Valerie.

And Valerie also sent knitted socks to me and for Mali (boss's wife).  Aren't they cute!!  She included the yarn type so we could see that they are machine wash & dry.  I chose these two and wore the tan ones already!

I skipped going to Miller's Ale House with the Mas Verde group last night.  I went to Danon & Mali's after work yesterday to get instructions on caring for their cats while they are on vacation next week.  It started pouring rain so I sat for a bit talking with them until I could get out to the car and head home.  It rained steadily all evening.  I just didn't feel like going back out to dinner in it so begged off.

Today, after work, I'm having lunch with my friend, Shirley.  We are meeting at Peking House.  I haven't had Chinese food in a while and I am anxious to hear how her son is settling in.  Hopefully, his furniture has arrived and he is getting painting and flooring done.  It will be a good catch-up.

Tomorrow, I am off to Punta Gorda to meet up with my granddaughter, Lauren, for lunch!!  I so look forward to our time together!! The last time was at the end of May, just before Tristan moved to New York City (he is doing well, by the way).

That's all I've got today!  Wishing you all a good weekend ahead!!

Peace & Hugs!!

Precious Lord, take my hand
Lead me on, let me stand
I am tired, I'm weak, I am worn
Through the storm, through the night
Lead me on to the light
Take my hand, precious Lord
Lead me home.

  2. Oooh- Chinese sounds so good!
How can we be working with people born in 2000? That was just a few years ago. His wife is very talented! I love the socks!
Have a great time with Lauren.
I love that song. We sang it at Dad's funeral.

  5. What generous blessings! Only yesterday while at Academy I was looking at the Sketchers. That 'yarn lady' does such beautiful work! Wishing you a safe drive and a delightful time tomorrow!

  6. Green Anole's are some of my favorite Lacertilia (Lizards). We had few this year because the Skinks are on the rise and they eat the little green guys. It's nature. Critters come and go.
There are many styles of Sketchers gracing my closet too. They're the best for the price.
Fun post. I enjoyed it like always.
    Love xx

  7. I have a pair of sketchers trainers that are sooo comfortable but they're beginning to wear out so I need to treat myself to a new pair. Lovely surprise gift for you. Those socks look lovely - I've always wanted to try my hand at knitting socks but worry I wouldn't get the sizing right. Enjoy your visit with your granddaughter and have a good weekend Terri.

    Precious Lord, linger near-ear
When my li-ight is almost gone
Hear my cry, hear my call

    Take my hand, precious Lor-ord

That's a good song!! Okay, let's see, Oh, I love the tenacious little lizard. We've had some do that before as well, and I once had a corn snake wrap around my wheel and go all the way to work and half way home with me before, but got left off at the gas station on the way home! LOL. Your young fella at work is cute. What fun to have young people with so much energy around. Oh, Goodie for you to have skechers! Especially the step in kind. I just bought some of those for John. I only wear skechers, but don't have the step in kind yet. Maybe I'll put that on my birthday list. The socks are really nice too. I hope you have a nice visit with your granddaughter! Enjoy the ride!
