Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 425
1. It's been said the best things in life are free...are they? What are some of those things? Hugs! A kiss! A hand to hold! A sweet word whispered in an ear! Visiting a friend in the hospital! Compliments offered honestly! A smile! A shoulder to cry on! An ear listening quietly! Just being present when needed!
2. Stars or stripes? Red, white, or blue? Apple pie or homemade ice cream? Do you like hotdogs? If so, what do you like on yours? Yes, I like hotdogs (prefer all-beef), I like them with mustard, onions, sweet pickle relish, OR kraut OR, chili, AND sometimes with just ketchup. I even like them sliced and sauteed in scrambled eggs!
3. One thing on your summer bucket list? No summer bucket list, I'm afraid. No vacation time with the new job. Any plans to make it happen soon? I have a winding road trip planned in the back of my mind but it won't happen anytime soon. Something to look forward to - and I'll be contacting some of you along the way! Up through Alabama and into Michigan then across Ohio and back down through the Carolinas before getting back to Florida. I'm going to do it one of these days.
4. What's your summer anthem? Yes, you need to have one. It's 9:00-1:00, but you get the idea!!
5. What's something you love about America? If you live outside of America, tell us something you love about the place you call home. This kinda says it all...
6. Insert your own random thought here. I am so excited that my community here in Mas Verde is having our first potluck in over a year on Sunday, July 4th!!! I even bought a new t-shirt to wear!! I'm sitting with Judy & Tim. Al & Theresa are going too. I think it will be well attended. My new shirt looks grey in the picture but it is really muted blue...
Jesus loves you and me!
The end of June is here. The months are slipping by very fast.

Well put me on your itinerary when you get to the Carolinas!! Enjoy your celebration. I think everyone is ready for in person gathering and fun.
ReplyDeleteYou betcha!!
DeleteMaybe you will get to Lakeland, though, before I get to do this trip so come on down!!
DeletePotluck sounds fun. Love your new shirt!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Put me on that trip list:)
ReplyDeleteA potluck is going to be so much fun. It feels so good to be able to see and visit one another. I will never take that for granted as I am a homebody and an introvert. We need each other.
Ok, then if you can make it to Ohio, you can come 6 hrs north to the Southern Tier of NY, {{grin}}. Have a beautiful day, Terri.
ReplyDeleteOh I hope we can meet up on your road trip Terri. I am a hotdog lover but I seldom eat them these days. Like you I prefer Beef and I like mine with slaw and mustard. I guess that is a southern thing.
ReplyDeleteLove your patriotic T-shirt, Terri, and it's so good to know that your community will be holding a pot luck to celebrate the Fourth. That road trip does sound like a fun adventure, and I hope you'll be able to do it one day.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Cute t-shirt! I wish there was a stronger word than 'love' to describe your response to #1! I'm not so fond of hot dogs, but Tom loves them -- and has even taken to cutting them up in his Hormel chile. Like Joyce said, I hope and pray to be included in your itinerary! If I get a different (ie, reliable) car this Fall, I'm headed back to Florida!
ReplyDeleteLove the t-shirt! I just received a couple in the mail including one that is gray and it says in red, white and blue "America is my favorite color". I love a good hotdog, but prefer it plain unless there is a good pickle relish to be had.
ReplyDeleteWonderful answers.... have a good one... stay cool.. We are baking!! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the t shirt . I am so glad everything is opening back up.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to have a community pot luck for the 4th! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI like the sound of you coming to Michigan! Meeting would be wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI like that shirt and the songs you shared!
Well, that will be a fun trip to anticipate. I sometimes think the anticipation of such a trip is as much fun as actually the trip itself. So glad you have plans for the 4th and a cute shirt to wear too. Happy 4th!
ReplyDeleteLoved your answers and your song choices.
ReplyDeleteI am behind in reading my blog favorites and leaving comments. I hope your 4th of July is just great. It is that day now (early evening, actually, and pouring rain here in the panhandle, so the home fireworks may not happen. But I got to wear a new red-white-blue outfit to church this morning and the service included a dedicated prayer time for our country, so it's been a good 4th for me.
