Continuing with Deb's meme to post photos on Friday.
I don't have any new photos from this week. I went searching for some Easter pictures to share and found these few...
I used to make crosses from the palms we all got on Palm Sunday.
One year I made Easter Bread for Joe from his aunt's recipe.
It was so pretty and I was so proud until we cut it.
It was raw in the middle. I've not tried it since.
My Easter decoration on the buffet from two years ago.
I was 1 1/2 when I posed with cousins on Grandma's porch.
Bob, Terri, Pam, Jim
Bob surprised me by coming from Ohio for Joe's memorial service.
I have the best cousins.
Me and my dad at my first Easter in 1952
This wasn't Easter but I LOVE this picture of
me and my little brother. He looks like Spanky from the Little Rascals.
Grandson Tristan and Granddaughter Lauren
at Easter a long time ago.
Joey arrived safely and we went out for Italian food with friends in our dinner group here in Mas Verde. We will get the carpets cleaned this morning and then we are working, working, working on getting Joe's office cleaned out.
The world darkens today as we wait for the Resurrection on Sunday.
We know what Jesus endured.
It is hard to imagine what Mary went through on that day so long ago.

I never saw crosses made from palms before. Neat!
ReplyDeleteI never heard of Easter bread. Looks very festive.
Your brother does look like Spanky. lol
Have a great day!
Happy Easter Terri!
ReplyDeleteI like the crosses made from palm. Well done.
ReplyDeleteIf I tried baking bread, it wouldn't turn out well, I'm sure. It's hard to bake it properly, or so I'm told. Hey, at least you tried. *grin*
LOVE the photos. They refocus a memory, don't they.
Wrapping you in prayer. xx
Precious memories in those picture. Smiled at the Easter bread disaster.
ReplyDeleteThis morning my daughter-in-law made resurrection rolls for breakfast. (more time to do it this morning than on Easter morning). That's the crescent rolls with the marshmallow inside.
This is a blessed day for us all as we think about how Jesus gave His perfect life to pay for our sins. Thank You, Lord Jesus!
Love your pictures and memories of Easters past. That Easter bread disaster sounds like something that I would do, hence I only bake bread with my bread machine...once in a great while. I'm so glad Joey is there and that you are getting things done. Praying for you as you clean out Joe's office. I know that will be difficult. May God give you peace and calm and even joy this Easter. "Because He lives, I can face tomorrow!".
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable child you were! I love both the baby bonnet and Easter hat! And such a generous gesture, your cousin coming from Ohio for Joe's memorial. I'm chuckling about the Easter bread ... did you have a good laugh and eat it anyway?
ReplyDeleteHolding you and Joey in my thoughts and prayers today!
Loved the pictures. Hope you get the office cleaned out without too much trouble. Glad Joey made it in and I know you all enjoyed dinner out last evening.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your sweet Easter memories. When we were in Florida last week driving down I-75, I thought of your several times. Seeing all the cows in the fields reminded me of your Friday Foto posts. Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteLoved your photos and your memories, Terri. May your Easter be blessed!
ReplyDeleteI love the crosses you made!
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice that your cousin came to the memorial. Shows how loved you are.
Those are some great old photos.
So glad you have Joey there to help with the big job in the office. We used to make crosses like that too. May the hope of Easter be very real to you in this hard season you are walking through.
ReplyDeleteI really love those old pictures. Memories are so wonderful, aren't they? How sweet that your cousin came all the way from Ohio for Joe's memorial! That bread story is hilarious!
