Tuesday 4
Traveling
Welcome to Tuesday 4 and new questions. We continue this meme in memory of Toni Taddeo and hope you will enjoy it enough to continue coming back.
Let's talk about Travel...
1. How far have you gone from home and where did you go? Over 4,000 miles to Italy.
2. Do you think the hassle of travel is worth the trouble? I like to drive whenever possible. Not fond of flying during these crazy times but of course it is worth the hassle.
3. Are there places you would like to visit or have plans for visiting? There are lots of places I would like to visit but I have no plans to travel right now.
4. What trip was the best you've ever had? When we went to Italy back in 2007. It was an amazing trip. We loved every minute!
Peace & hugs! Jesus loves us!

I am so happy you and Joe were able to take that trip to Italy. It sounds like it was the trip of a lifetime for both of you, and especially for Joe because it was the land of his family. I know you will treasure those memories especially now. We've never traveled that far (except to move!) and only out of the country once to go into Canada briefly. I would love to be able to travel, but then again, not sure I am up to the hassle anymore. "There's no place like home...no place like home, no place like home..." Love you Terri. (((hugs)))
ReplyDeleteItaly... jealous! This is on my travel bucket list!! Happy Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteWe don't travel anymore because of Covid-19.
ReplyDeleteGlad you and Joe had the lovely trip to Italy.
Have a nice day.

I don't know mileage but the furtherest trip I have taken is from Chattanooga to Seattle, Washington. I did go to the Bahamas but that was nearly as far as Washington. I love to travel and would like to go to Alaska. There and Hawaii are the only two states I havent visited but no plans to go now.
ReplyDeleteI have never been out of the USA...doubtful I will ever visit all the places I would like to see. I enjoy watching Rick Steves on You Tube. I get to travel by armchair and while that is not the perfect trip it is pretty good.
ReplyDeleteI always wanted to go to Italy! I imagined I could go and spend a month in the countryside and really soak it up. I probably never will be I still love to dream about it. I'm so glad you are posting. I'm keeping you in my prayers every day! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteA trip to Italy would be nice. There's so much history there. I would also like to see the British Isles. That's our ancestry's since we're almost 100% English, Irish, and Scottish. Would also like to visit Israel. We should have done these things while young, though, before the hysteria. Thankfully I'm content to be a Home Body now. Things ache too much to do too much walking and me and the coffee pot have this thing going on. Gotta stay close by in case more coffee should appear. Yum!
ReplyDeleteHope you can rest and be good to yourself.
Sending Love & Prayers xx
I would love Italy. Jeff wants to go to Normandy and then follow his dad's trip from there into Germany. I think it would be most fun. I would also like to visit the area where I lived as an infant in Germany. I think it would have been on our radar at one time before Covid. Now, I am finding I am happy as a lark right here in Northwest Florida and grateful to live where I do. It is funny...I love everything about aviation history, taught it in school, but I don't particularly love flying.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to know that Joe and you were able to make that dream trip to Italy. You'll have those precious memories forever, Terri.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Italy sounds like a wonderful place to visit. Did you mainly spend it in the countryside or did you spend more time in places like Rome, Milan, Naples and so on?
ReplyDeleteVenice, Florence, Tuscany, Rome... it was too short and wonderful.
DeleteI've wanted to go to Italy for the longest time but will probably never get there. Lucky you to get to go. I think the farthest I have traveled is from Pennsylvania to San Francisco.
ReplyDeleteOh, today's avatar is so great! Improbable, but I'd love to return to Tuscany sometime. As Flavia wrote, "Remembering is a journey our heart takes into a time that was, and our thoughts are the only tickets needed to ride."
ReplyDeleteI too share in Italy as well as Ireland and Germany I like to take short trips :)
ReplyDeleteSo much of America I would love to see...NorthWest would be fine. I have done much of the rest camping/rving.
ReplyDeleteYour Italy trip sounded like it was amazing! The furthest I've gone is Canada. Travel is fun though!
ReplyDeleteI remember those photos of Italy you posted, smiles. Keeping you in prayer, Terri.
ReplyDeleteItaly! What a great vacation! My sister and law and her husband went a couple of summers ago and just loved it. They wanted to go back last summer and had tickets, but covid. I am sure they will plan another trip soon. Loved your answers! Have a nice week.
