Deb, at Breathing In Grace, got us started posting photos on Friday. Continuing the tradition!!

As usual, we were at the farm (Joe's client) on Wednesday morning.
There were cattle going in and I snapped some pictures...
Check out that blue Florida sky!
Here come Pistol and Doc!
And this is Majesty. Vanna wasn't interested in carrots.
These two....
The cattle were not interested.
These two again... like they are joined at the shoulder!
Now, check out the blue sky...
Because the rain came, along with thunder and lightening!
Wow... where did the pasture go? It rained SO hard!!
And, typical of Florida, it lasted only about 20 minutes. Here we are on the way out.
And the Sandhill Cranes were out after the rain!
Yesterday, I saw Dawn for my every-six-weeks facial. These flowers were blooming
at her place, planted in an old tree stump. They look very happy!!
She feeds FOUR strays who greet her at her door every morning.
This little sweetheart jumped up on the cement wall and let me pet her
until Dawn heard me and came out with the food for the cat.
Last night, we had dinner at Shells with Tim and Judy, and Sharon and Bob, who are home from their travels. It was a good meal and fun conversation. Sharon is picking out a restaurant for next Thursday.
I also got my teeth cleaned yesterday and Joe sees the oral surgeon today about getting some teeth pulled so he can get some dentures. Not a fun day but necessary.
That's all I've got for today! Thanks for peeking in!
Peace & hugs! God bless!!

Oh I love the after the rain pictures! Amazing how quickly that storm popped up, but that is typical Florida summer weather! Beautiful skies, beautiful critters. Loved the flowers too. Yikes, teeth getting pulled...poor Joe! Hope that all works out and that he will be happy when it is done. So glad you can get out and enjoy dinner with friends. That is our weekly highlight on Sundays after church...a group of us go out for "brunch", now including our "new" pastor and wife. We are happy campers! Have a blessed weekend.
ReplyDeleteYes, typical Florida day.. love those blue skies... :)
ReplyDeleteI always love your farm pics. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos. My mil had all her teeth pulled in February, and then the shutdown began, guess what? Still no dentures because we are still tech. shut down, no dentists or dr. visits. I hope Joe can get in etc. I know Fl. is way different than here.
ReplyDeleteHe only has four to be pulled and then a partial plate. But yes, we are open for dental work here.
DeleteI love seeing the horses. Yesterday on our way to the clinic we passed by the farm that has a tiny pony about the size of a big dog. Oh I love that pony. :) What pretty flowers too. Blessings to you for a great weekend, stay safe, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Florida. Beautiful farm. Sorry about Joe's tooth - Rick had two pulled in the last few years. Nice photos.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the farm pictures; sure are alot of blacck angus cattle arent there? Glad you enjoyed dinner with friends and look forward to next week. Hope all goes well with Joe having teeth pulled - not fun but as you said, necessary. Have a good Friday and weekend.
ReplyDeleteLinda, I understand that they are called Brangus... a cross between Brahman and Black Angus. They are quite handsome. I found this explanation: Brangus cattle are a mix of Angus and Brahman cattle. Breeding these two types of cows together began around the 1930's in the USA. To be considered Brangus, a cow must have 3/8 Brahman and 5/8 Angus genetics. While the term 'Brangus cattle' typically refers to black cows, Red Brangus also exist.
DeleteI love the horses with their heads together - buddies
ReplyDeleteWhat nice horse photos! You take good pics. I enjoyed the tour.
ReplyDeleteLove & Prayers
Thanks, Sparky. I take them with my phone and love the quality I get with it. Nothing fancy but I do crop them sometimes and "repair" the lighting occasionally.
DeleteWow, what a deluge! Glad you could snap that photo, Terri. And yes, going to the dentist is never my favorite activity, but it's so necessary. I'm supposed to go at the end of this month; we'll see if Danny allows me out of the compound - lol!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Oh ya, I remember Florida's ferocious storms. So glad y'all weren't on the road when that storm hit. So glad you're still continuing to enjoying dine out with good friends!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the farm photos - seeing that hard rain and then the sun is amazing! I always like to see the cows and the way the horses come up for their treats.
